We love the Dog Center so much for daycare and occasional boarding. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable, and we completely trust them taking care of our boys and working with their individual behaviors (one doggo doesn’t get along with other males and gets to stay in a room and play with female dogs, for example). Nothing tires our dogs out like a day playing at the Dog Center, and the expert staff even manage to trim our dogs’ nails for us when neither we nor the vet can get it done for one of our difficult pups. Highly recommend!

I took my dog here for daycare 1-2 times a week for a couple months. I was new to daycare and a little surprised that they didn’t let me see the facility at all. It was smaller than I expected and in the location it’s in, I actually thought I’d made a wrong turn the first time I went. However, I was optimistic and most of the younger handlers were super friendly. However, nearly every time I took my dog home, he’d have diarrhea for the next couple of days. I started to notice the connection to the times I brought him to daycare once he also developed a foot infection on both of his rear paws and conjunctivitis (pink eye). I kept having to give him a bland diet to help his stomach and I wasn’t able to bring him to daycare because he was in a cone while I treated his infections. I contacted the facility to let them know that for my dog’s health, I would not be returning. I was super nonconfrontational and put the blame on my own dog at first, saying he was probably just sensitive or something. I’ve taken him to other daycares since, however, and have never had a single bad experience. I had bought one of the ten session packages and contacted them to ask if I could simply receive a refund on the remaining days, but was obviously more than happy to pay for the days that he was in their care despite the situation. As others have said, they would not take responsibility for their actions and the manager (I believe her name is Kristin), immediately got extremely aggressive with me, saying that this sort of thing never happens and implying that I was making it up. Judging from these reviews, it would appear that it does happen more than she let on. She said she’d call me back probably six times over the course of several months, but never did. She did offer me the option to transfer my remaining credits to someone else so they’d still get the business, but I told her I understandably wouldn’t frankly recommend them to anyone so that wasn’t really helpful to me. I never got my refund and don’t have the energy to keep getting yelled at on the phone. Please don’t take your dog here for their safety!

Overall I'm happy that we have a place to leave our furry friend if we go out of town. The one and only place i found that would accept self administration of bordetella vaccine which was awesome. Our boy seemed to have enjoyed over all. The only thing we noticed is that he lost some weight and developed some aggression, especially towards our 14 yr old son, someone who the dog played with always. He seems to be somewhat fearful of him especially. However this could be that our pup is sulking since we left him for a week. I recommend reducing prices a tad bit, especially since there are taxes and tips in addition. Our family does travel overseas for upto 3 weeks sometimes and this can get seriously expensive. I will use them in the future and definitely.Thank you K9 to 5***updating my rating****very responsive and super professional. And meant to state that the staff is very sweet...Shannon...helped me several times and was patient with my requests and questions.

K9 to 5 has relocated to East Providence and changed their name to "The Dog Center at Faraway Farms." The new facility is better in every way, and the owners and staff are the same terrific crew. This is a full-service dog center: daycare, grooming, overnight boarding, hiking excursions, farm outings, etc. So far I've only taken my dog there for daycare and the occasional grooming. She starts yodeling in the car when we're a couple blocks away, drags me in the front door and trots off happily with the staff, without even a glance back at me. At pickup time she's happy, tired and ready to come home - though I think she wishes we lived upstairs so she wouldn't really have to leave all of her pals. When I travel later this year, I'll be able to relax knowing my goofball is in good hands. Highly recommended.

They've relocated to a different location. Prices have been increased to 60$ per day for boarding. I was looking at the old website which still had their old prices. Staff are the same. They charge 5$/day for using their food. This is the link to their new website.

Recently moved to the area and wanted to get my buddy Beau in with a good play group. They welcomed him with enthusiasm and he had a great day! We’ll definitely be back!

For being at the facility for the first time the employee made the experience very pleasant and informative. It is open for the dog to walk and play and I like that they had an area for only pups to play. It gives you the reassurance that your pup will be safe.
