Let me start by saying I'm completely moronic about cars. Tried to call and ask for a quote on how much a repair would be on my boyfriends' car. I know nothing about cars, I don't know what to say, what to ask, or how to go about any of this other than what my BF told me was wrong with it. The car broke down a few weeks ago with no warning and I had no idea what to do. My boyfriend is a mechanic for the air force, but he's currently stationed overseas till April so I'm completely on my own here. Instead of even trying to understand and help me, the guy on the phone made me feel like an idiot for even asking. Maybe I am. But he didn't have to be such a guy about it. I needed help, not to be put down and made to feel stupid. It's early and Friday so I'm sure he's sick of stupid questions from people like me. But that's part of the job dude. Based on customer service alone I'm going elsewhere.*I knew what was wrong with the car and the basic information. I've just never had to find a mechanic before. I grew up with four brothers and now my BF takes care of it. But apparently this is just how mechanics talk to women. He could've had a little patience, asked for the info he needed and walked me through a basic assessment and possible pricing. Instead he snapped at me with a snarky attitude.

I was visiting family this past week in Providence from Connecticut for New Year's so I'm quite unfamiliar with the area, of course when I tried heading back my car didn't start. My dad tried looking at the car but had no luck so I ended up having to get it towed and taken to a mechanic. One of my friends recommended J.M. Auto Repair so I had the tow drop it off there. When I got there I told them what happened and how it wasn't starting and they understood and started working on the car. They told me that the battery in my car was dead so I got worried because I have a pretty old car (2016 Honda Civic) but luckily they had the battery in stock and put a brand new one in there. These guys were super fast and took like 10 minutes to finish the whole thing so would recommend it if you need something small done, 10/10.

Joe and his son have been taking care of my cars for about 20 years. Completely trustworthy and they never overcharge. Today I had a work truck towed in that had run out of gas on the highway. They reccommend 5 gallons of gas then jumped it for us at no charge.Services: Tires

Amazing experience! They say an honest mechanic is worth their weight in gold. These people have restored my girlfriend's and my faith in auto mechanics on two separate occasions so far. We won't go anywhere else as long as J.M. exists.Thanks again, guys.

trustworthy, skilled, reasonably priced ! these guys have been super helpful in keeping my ‘04 honda element on the road. honda no longer makes this vehicle so I can’t get a new one - Joe has been doing all that he can to keep it this high mileage vehicle in working order

Greatly appreciated that they helped out my daughter with an oil leak issue that was caused by one of those quickly oil change places (no sealing washer). It was great how they treated her.
