Comprising 270,000 square feet of retail, commercial and residential uses in downtown Providence, Eagle Square is the quintessential urban mixed-use development. Assembling over 13 acres of distressed and brownfield land, a commercial developer converted a series of historic mill buildings into a vibrant city center, paving the way for the revitalization of the entire western corridor of the city. With the Woonasquatucket River running through the middle of the property and a bike path paralleling this water way, the development is home to one of the region's most successful Price Rite supermarkets, the annex of the Veterans Administration's office and medical complex and forty loft style condominiums.I visit Eagle square mostly for the Price Rite grocery store, but I have also been to the Verizon store and some of the eateries here. The shopping area is very spread out and there are several entrances to the core of the stores. Overall a nice redeveloped area of old Providence.

Actually I came here for an appointment at the VA Eye Clinic. Of course they're doing screenings at the door but the wait time is just 5-10 minutes once checked in.
