Company charges $80 to fill out an intake form. For that price there should be some value added, there is not. I understand that their time is worth something, as is others such as an attorney who will consult with you for no fee prior to taking you in as a client. The attorney does this because he or she understands that this is the cost of doing business.

To respond to your comment about my puppy "lunging" at another dog. His first time there, he was well behaved, until you took him back, put him in a crate in close quarters to another.dog. this is where he barked. I do not mind your not being able to handle training a dog. I understand that you want pre trained dogs to attend your school. I merely stated that an intake or intake questions are a cost of doing business. Most.professions understand this. A lawyer is a professionally trained person. One does not.pay a fee to determine whether the lawyer feels that he or she can help you. The lawyer does this by asking questions and using his or her training to determine whether your situation is something that the lawyer can help with. Questions such as how much do.ypu feed your dog, when was he born, does he have any allergies, and what do wish to accomplish are all intake questions. This is NOT about my puppy not attending your facility. Sometimes it is just not a good fit. It is simply about a very high price for absolutely no value added . With regard to the offer of referring a trainer, your highly trained employee did not know how to work with my dog. Can you understand why I would question her recommendation? Again, I will repeat $80 for filling out an intake form is an exceedingly high cost. I expected a little more than someone filling out a form that I could have done myself. Finally, your free phone call serves only to allow one to schedule an $80 visit to fill out an intake form Your claim that your employee "handled" my puppy is a bit of an overstatement. It can be more accurately described as an $80 walk a few feet to another room and back again. So, technically one could say she "handled" my puppy, the same as my 9 year old neighbor handles my puppy when he is allowed to briefly walk him

A beautiful and easy to access facility. I've attended multiple workshops and learned so much each time. It's clean, parking is free and right next to the building. Kat and the rest of the staff are so helpful and super passionate about an entirely positive experience both for dog and human. We are lucky to have them in RI!

Over the last four years I have brought my two dogs to Crossbones academy to attend the puppy academy, this training has helped my family and I learn how to train our puppies and set us up with a good foundation towards having well mannered and obedient dogs without the use of aggressive devices or treatments. Training never stops, but I am happy to know that cross bones is here to support us in resolving any issues that may arise in the future. I highly recommend the puppy academy to new puppy owners. The younger the better.

If you want your dogs to be happy, obedient, well exercised and confident, sign them up for agility training at Crossbones. I've never seen my two Cavaliers so pleased with themselves!

PJ was excellent at identifying our crazy dog's issues and helping us learn to address them. He's a much better behaved dog now. We love him all the more for it. And thank PJ for her help!

I hardly ever post public reviews but I have to make an exception for Crossbones. These folks are as expert and professional as they are kind and conscientious. Our pup is a super handful and they have helped her--and us--so much. She's been in puppy day school, educational pup care, and we've taken multiple classes and will keep doing so. In our travels with our pup we've met lots of caring and terrific doggo professionals in this tough and demanding industry, but Crossbones is absolutely tops.

Our Bentley is 4-1/2 years old and spent almost the first 2 years of his training and daycare with crossbones. They were an intricate part of his development. He is the most well behaved boy! He’s a joy to walk, take to public places and social gatherings. I highly recommend them.

Our rescue Dalmatian puppy attended Crossbones four years ago in the old facility. The training provided us a very well socialized dog.

I cannot say enough about the dedication and care provided to my goofy and VERY easily distracted goldendoodle: Jude!! He was enrolled in the complete puppy training program from March until July 2023, and all I can say is Amazing Job! He is still a goofy puppy but the skills he learned really set the foundation for being a wonderfully adjusted pet at home and in the community. All the trainers took the time to listen and help set realistic goals for Jude. A program was tailored to meet his needs. He loved going to puppy school every day and was so excited to see staff. That should be the biggest testament to the program. The only negative feedback that could be offered, surrounds the somewhat limited availability of group classes. I work weekdays till 5:30-6 pm. Many classes were offered during my work hours. Weekend availability was only on Sundays. Both making attendance difficult. Thankful though, for the opportunity to attend lifelong classes, in the future, as part of the puppy program package! So grateful for all who have helped care for Jude!! Highly recommend without reservation!! Thanks Again!!

We signed our 1 yr old mini Australian, Jesse up for the 5 week intensive training program and we couldn’t be happier with the results! First the team at Crossbones are the best! Everyone is extremely focused on providing consistent care, training and fun for all of the dogs. Jesse loves hopping in the car for “school” every morning and that’s because he trusts and responds to all of the team there. Second, the training is positive and balanced and consistent. Jesse has learned all of the basics in a short amount of time but also is now conditioned to learn more as he grows. He is so well behaved in public, on walks, around other dogs and listens happily at home. We can’t say enough about how Crossbones has treated him like one of their own family members. If you have a puppy or an adult dog needing training you must call them!
