Been trying to cancel my service as soon as I say I want to cancel the person mysteriously gets disconnected. I went 6 weeks with out internet service. Went 6 months with service that I could only use my tv. And no other items would connect to the internet. Once the fixed my issue at the pole outside my house. The internet went down again for 2 weeks. I was charged for all of that. I got a new service and have been trying to cancel for 2 months. I work non-Friday and they open after I go to work and close before I get out. So how do u cancel…

I have never left a negative review until now. I contacted Cox Cable and asked them to verify that my phone number could follow me if I got service from them. I was told yes and sent through an automated verification to facilitate it. Come install day they gave me a new number. I told the installer I had arranged to keep my old number. He called someone who told him a step had been missed and she would fix it. It should connect in 7-10 business days. It did not hooked up. I called again, was told it was fixed and they would follow up with me in 7-10 business days to be sure I was all set. It did not hook up. They did not follow up so I called a third time. The person I talked to that time explained why they could not give me my old number so I cancelled my service and returned to my prior provider (The only reason I went with Cox is the prior owner of my new home had Cox so the wiring was already in. My old provider brought in their line at no charge.)Shortly there after I got a call from Cox. I explained that, as they had never provided the service they agreed to I would like a credit for the phone part of the service and I would pay the balance for TV and internet. I was then shocked to be told that I had agreed to a certain term so they would not credit me and were charging me a disconnect fee.I do not believe I ever agreed to a service term but after being harassed by them I finally threw in the towel and paid the bill just to be done with it. In addition, I had been told not to cancel my service with my old provider until the number came over so I double paid for two month in addition.This week, a collection service started calling. I told them I paid Cox. They said I should have paid them, not Cox and now they want me to pay a $40+ fee to them!I have never seen a company so unwilling to meet their commitments. Their actions have literally cost me hundreds of dollars. I will never do business with Cox again.

I was paying by check and they said the check would not go thru, but I have no problems with the checks anywhere else. They said the machine could not read the numbers. This has happened twice with Cox.

This particular site the customer service is good but when you call the customer service and if you happen to be behind on your payment, I think they're messaging is very rude and disrespectful. That has to change ASAP because I'm looking to change my service.

Cox is the absolute worst. Unfortunately, there's no good option out there for cable or internet. Guess I'll just have to deal with all the tv freezes, blips, technical difficulties, overpriced service, and incompetent techs.... oh and they are THE most difficult to get ahold of when you need tech support. Their commercials make it look so easy, but it's not - it's frustrating, difficult, aggrivating, and waste of time because they never fix the problem anyway. They just want to "try this and see how it goes"

Lost internet service for 18 hours and it ended up costing me $195 in lost wages, forcing me to call out of work. The first Cox supervisor I spoke with via chat, Kandhari N, said I could be reimbursed for lost wages and instructed me to reach back out once service was restored. I did and then spoke with another supervisor, Nixon, who says the best they can offer is a credit of $9.67. If I could have literally any other provider where I live and work, I would. Cox prides themselves in politely robbing customers.

Prices are ridiculously high. Switched to internet only ( still high priced) and the service is always cutting out. I have a finished basement and the Wi-Fi connection won’t even work there. Also can’t stand on my front porch and use my phone without turning Wi-Fi off. Service stinks!

Oy oy oy. Out of the blue I can a message "We couldn't use your payment method to charged you a $25 fee." Ah... WHAT? No trying to figure it out? No 'please update your payment method'? What is this 1980?I chatted with a rep who said "This has been settled, the charges removed, use the app to see."I downloaded the app, and the charge is still there.I call and talk to some nameless chap at a cubical-farm somewhere who tells me "I will Make a note and remove the charges".Week later, letter in the mail: "We are cutting your service."I chat again, explain the whole thing, the person says "I'll transfer you to someone that will take the charge off". I get transferred, have to explain everything again, because, we're in the stone-ages here. the person looks at my account and says I have to call collections to handle the charges.No need to cancel my account, Cox, no need. I'm firing you. Please get your business up to speed - let's start with the 90's and go from there.Never going back to that nonsense.

Terrible customer service could not get in touch with anyone that was knowledgeable enough to fix my issues. online chat was closed repeatedly without solving my issues. the people were friendly but thats about it. they sent a technician to my house everything was fine after that, less than 24 hours later my tv wifi and phone all go out. now they are sending a 2nd technician, Cox communications is a disgrace and does not deserve your business.
