A large multi-floor department store that has all the usual staples including clothing for the family, housewares, kitchenwares, even drapes and furniture. That was a surprise. The clothing was priced very well and there were a lot of sales. Plenty of fitting rooms and the staff was very helpful. And believe it or not they have a nursing lounge for breastfeeding mothers. The children's section is bright and welcoming. Much better choice shopping here than at Macy's.

Went in for two items that I had previously purchased at Boscov's only to find out that they did not carry either one anymore. Both in Home Goods. Left disappointed and ordered online

Allow me to start this review by stating I do not shop at Boscovs or any other discount department store like Boscovs. However, my elder Aunt loves this store, so when I came into town to celebrate her 76th birthday i took her to her favorite store. As soon as I walked in I knew it was not a store for me. However, she loves it and I was there for her. Upon checking out I was offered to apply for their store credit card and take advantage of 15% off-and receive monthly coupons. She isn’t able to get a store card so I went ahead and applied for and was given a Boscovs store card. I did this to give it to her as I live out of state, so she could shop and buy herself something new every month.The first coupon came ($5) which I mailedTo her. One transpired next is unbelievable. She got a ride to the store and found three dresses totaling only $60. The clerk wouldn’t accept the coupon or my card from her. I called and spoke with the manager who had an Indian accent. He informed me he would t allow her to use either. I offered to send him a photo of my license, a photo of me holding my license, on the cell number associated with my store card. Answer was no.Frustrated and tired my aunt was also sad. She had waited all week for this ride to get something new for herself. I had a thought -Gift card. I hurried online and purchased a store gift card- e-card. She went back to purchase and was met with the same ill mannered manager who stated they wouldn’t accept a Boscovs e-card for in-store purchase. Mind you, online it stated they can be used by phone, online, and at any location.I called customer service. The people at customer service are extremely friendly and helpful unlike the store management team.It took over an hour of my time, my aunt and her other elderly friend-standing around upset and frustrated -to finally be able to spend $60 in this store. The lack of care, of human compassion, of plain customer service skills; is apparent at this location. Just because you’re a low-end department store does not mean you have to have equally low-end service.

Employees have a really bad attitude. They close the fitting rooms 45 minutes before they close, so even if you wanted to try something on, you couldn't.

Worst customer service. My item says shipped with a tracking number that’s untraceable. I chatted with customer service and she said someone would call me when they figure out what happened. No one has called!!!Also the jewelry department at providence place is terrible. The woman employee didn’t speak good English and didn’t know what pearls were??!! I was hopeful since my pearls are somewhere lost in the system I might find them at the store . Waste of time!

My issue is with the furniture department. Sales are quick to help you purchase but are useless to help with an issue. A couch was purchased with a guarantee and less than 5 months later was useless. We’ve gone in personally to have it fixed or replaced and they have been less then helpful with there second/third parties who have come to “repair” it and have been less then helpful takes them months to come out and fill out stupid report forms for next steps to be taken. DO NOT PURCHASE FURNITURE FROM HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE TIME AND MONEY SADLY SOME HAD TO LEARN THE HARD WAY.

I come here for the generous selection of house hold items at a reasonable price! There are also a lot of candy and gourmet food items or cooking items like sauces for purchase!

Very poor customer service. My mother and I were casually shopping around and decided to stop to use the bathroom. My cousin and sister were waiting outside the bathroom and decided to sit on the carpet floor while they waited. Some man who later said he was a “manager” named Michael Costa, walked by and yelled “ GET UP “ to the two ladies. He had no store attire and no badge nothing. In fact he was on a personal call on his cell phone. They stood and when we got out of the bathroom told us about the rude encounter. At the register, when paying I asked the employee if he knew the man and he said no. The man then proceeded to come towards us saying he was doing his job because thats a stroller hazard and all sorts of shiz. He altercated his voice and honestly was super disrespectful as we really just wanted to understand why he was so rude to them in relying the message in the first place. Why he thought that was okay? Had he just asked politely or at least explained why they couldn't sit, they would have thought it completely normal. They literally weren’t doing anything just waiting. He said a formal complaint wouldn't do anything and I honestly think its because he didn't work there. I personally have worked with CS for years and would NEVER speak to a customer so aggressively.. Especially for NO REASON. Please revisit your staffing because we were going to apply for a credit card and that definitely didn't happen. I’ll never shop there again and I honestly just trying to make people aware. That was insane.
