Worst Bank of America in Rhode Island service is not adequate. That wasn't that. I knew that Bank of America is not that bad of a institution. I would really start back with them. Use your branch your local branch wisely.

I go in nice and early to open up an account. Once I get there a gentleman asks me if I need anything and I tell him yes that I would like to open an account. He then says ok give me ten minutes I'll be right with u have a seat. He then goes back to chit chat wit co-workers. I'm the only one waiting and nobody is ahead of me plus I came in early so that I can leave early . Customer service sucks they need better staff to attend clients.

Unless you're using the drive-thru, avoid this location. I went in to make a deposit (a pretty cut and dry transaction) and couldn't even get the common courtesy of "eye-to-eye" contact or a basic professional conversation from the teller. The teller literally looked over my shoulder and past me during the entire transaction. She failed to ask me basic questions like, "How much would you like to deposit?". Clearly she was too busy interacting with her coworker over in the cubicles behind me to take my transaction seriously. I found all of this pretty rude and tacky. A quick scan of my accounts on her screen would show that I hold three accounts with Bank of America in excellent standing with their institution. I expect to be treated with at least common courtesy when I engage with companies, especially when my money is integral to their business. The mortgage is one thing, but with checking and savings opportunities and incentives popping up with competitors daily, I am absolutely willing to leave Bank of America for better service.

This BofA branch on Federal Hill has a nice parking lot, a few drive thru windows, and several ATMs. The staff is OK, not the greatest, it just seems like more and more, these large banks hire people that just know how to follow a certain manual or guideline. When a customer ask questions that might be new, sometimes, the staff does not know how to answer or they give you an answer that is on the manual, many times, not the right answer. I guess, with technology, it's less needed to interact with the staff and it's easier to do things online. I still stop there to go to the ATM.
