I have been going to this market for years not that I want to it's just the closest market in my area. Two years ago I purchased two bags of frozen fries. They were frost bitten. Then today I was in the mood for frozen fries and said to myself, maybe after two years they will be better. I was wrong still frost bitten frozen goods. The majority of Ice cream is frost bitten you can frost on the outside of the boxes and even the rest of the frozen foods some of the pictures on the boxes are worn off and as for the fresh fruits and vegetables majority of those are going bad every time I go there. You would think because they are going bad the would reduce the price, no they are still high priced. I'm there for about 20 minutes shopping they are there for hours and they can't see frost bitten frozen goods and the ice all around the Ice cream and their bad produce. That's crazy I'm so tired of purchasing old food in my area for high prices. It's all around here. This market is a very high priced market and if you don't speak Spanish it's hard to get anything from the Deli. They just opened a new America's Food basket on Reservoir in Cranston Rhode Island and I have to say it's clean and everything is fresh maybe because it's new. The first time I shopped there, there was two cashier's checking out. The cashier that checked me out I asked her what time they close and she didn't know what I was saying because she couldn't speak English, so I turned around and asked the other cashier and she couldn't speak English either. My opinion is I think that businesses in Providence need to hire a few more English speaking employees. This is crazy!!!

The purposely don't show the price at the deli so you can be tricked into buying overpriced meats . Everything in store is overpriced.

This store is the most disgusting store I have ever shopped at. I recently started shopping at this store due to the location.My roommate had recently checked the dates of the items we we're eating and found that almost all the items we're expired. Some were deli meats and fruits that had been expired for 9-10 days while others we're bread that had been expired for 2 years!Some of us had Food Poisoning and got Very Sick. If you tend to shop here CHECK THE DATES. BE SAFE!!I've started shopping at Shaws, Market Basket and Stop & Shop. So far I've had no issues with these places.

Extremely expensive, here you gonna spend 30%-40% more than any other supermarket.Go to price rite or buy quality food in any other fancy supermarket and you will be saving money

The employees should be more helpful when you ask them what your looking for. They look at you like you have ten head's and don't understand what your asking for. (Unreal) They have very lazy people working here who don't want to do there job.I will go to the other market it's a little further but it's worth it.

America's Food Basket stores are part of a Cooperative of independent grocers located in New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania & Florida. At its inception in 2007, the cooperative started with just three supermarkets and has now grown to 60 stores under the banners of Ideal Food Basket & America's Food Basket. After more than 15 years in business, their focus remains on serving customers. This store on Broad street has a strong Latin American focus. A lot of the workers only speak Spanish and many of the signs are also in Spanish. I get their weekly circular and many times, I find great deals. Sometimes Chicken for 99 cents a pound, tomatoes for 69 cents a pound, and much more...... Their produce is not bad but their meats are just OK. I like their large selection of ethnic goods. Large parking lot.

Tried this market out on Sunday. Thought they may have some well priced produce and other random things. It's terrible. The produce is as expensive as Whole Foods and does not compare in quality at all. My husband wouldn't even buy the steak here for our dog. The prepared food area looks really dirty. We couldn't get over the prices for things that are half the price at Shaws. I def will not return. Price rite is much better

Now the sale the bags for $0.10 - 0.15 cents each bag. They have a lot of products with out pricing tags, especially those close to the cash register, private local companies that makes cakes, natural and "organic" candys and when you ask for the price, ridiculous expensive! Be careful with some dairy products cause they are expired (check for expiration dates) like bread in plastic clear bags, cakes and others made with milk.I recommend to check price at your close grocery store cause you can find less expensive prices for same product! I have proof it's. I been letting know manager about it and still happens.Something good and positive about this place is the oven daily fresh bread made at the store, VERY GOOD!!! but also too expensive for been made there.This super market is located in a low incomes neighborhood area, where is more poor people than middle class.What can be done in order to improve this situation????
