As always, everyone at Portsmouth Veterinary Clinic continues to exceed my expectations. Because of our high maintenance little love bug we are there a lot! Between the phone calls, the visits, the follow up calls and check ins, requests for food and meds, we are always met and treated with care and compassion! Forever grateful to everyone at Portsmouth Veterinary Clinic…year after year and pet after pet..??

I called this animal clinic with a small Boston Terrier who was in the middle of birthing 3 puppies, having delivered the first one with difficulty and could not deliver the last 2. The clinic told me to bring her in. I did immediately, however when I arrived they put Coco and I in a isolation room. The vet came in and told me they were not a vet clinic that could deliver these puppies. I asked why did you bring me in? This was one of the most irresponsible and dangerous animal issues I had ever been involved with; Coco and the puppies could have died... there was absolutely no reason to bring me there and not just refer me to a clinic that could help Coco, other than their putrid greed. I was livid!
Then they had the gall to bill mean enormous amount of money just for bringing Coco in. Please do not do business with this company.... Send them a message that there are bad consequences to bad dishonest and untrustworthy services. Greedy culture here! Shame Shame Shame ! Robert M. Ward Newport RI

Awesome staff that really cares about your pet. I found my first visit to be a great one. both the Vet and Vet tech were knowledgeable, caring and explained/answered all my questions with detail. my two cats also felt the compassion

I have been taking my pets there for over 30 yrs. The front desk and technicians are excellent. My cat, Ollie, loves going there. Dr. Ralphs is wonderful. She always takes the time to listen to any concerns I have and answer my questions. I have to say Ollie gets so much attention from Dr. Ralphs and Karen Kempenaar that he feels like a Rock Star. I must add that Kris DeSouto who does the dental hygiene and also assists Dr. Ralphs in some surgeries is excellent as well.

Excellent visit. Staff and doctors are fantastic. They handled things so well with my former dog, and the new pup loves them, too. Great team. And, we ran into one of our pup’s litter mates!

Dr Aldrich goes above and beyond for my senior dog. I have used Portsmouth Veterinary Clinic for many years and would highly recommend them.

The entire staff from the moment I open the front door is just wonderful.
Always a greeting with a smile. That matters to me. The office and rooms are extremely clean and the way they love my dog makes me love them. Next up-the vets are so thoughtful and thorough and kind. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

This place is so professional, sparking clean, so kind, great with the animals, excellent customer engagement, flexible, big dog loved them, and he smiled! Portsmouth Vet Clinic has the best veterinarians on Aquidneck Island! We have been going to Portsmouth Vet Clinic since we got our Irish Doodle, Penny, and all of the staff have been super supportive and helpful with all annual check-ups and emergencies we have had with our puppy. Thank you for all of your help with our crazy puppy!
