The front desk staff were helpful and welcoming. The technician, Kathleen, was very knowledgeable and kind to our puppy. The veterinarian was clear in answering questions and enthusiastic about Riley. We appreciate all the efforts of your team members.

We've been using Portsmouth Veterinary Clinic for over thirty years, through 4 dogs! They've moved and grown during that time but they have managed to maintain their great culture. They are always helpful, super friendly and they never do more than they need to. And above all, they have always been great with our dogs.

Brought my dog here for her annual check up after recently moving to the area. Everyone from check in to the Vet herself was very pleasant and helpful. My dog is very skittish, despite this they made her feel comfortable and were quick so we were in and out in no time. On top of this I found the Vet to be very kind and patient as well as knowledgeable. She took the time to explain everything and made the experience a pleasant one. Thank you!

Always know I'm going to be very satisfied with the care given to Emmie. Full examination. The environment is very clean. Staff there are very caring . You can tell they are all animal lovers. No question is silly. There very knowledgeable and never in a rush even when you know it's a crazy day. Definitely recommend.

I think they are more interested in my wallet then my dog. See Vet on Wednesday afternoon, they say they say...stomach infection...distended stomach is lymphoma...give me some antibiotics...and call back at the end of the week to let us know how he's doing...also feed him hamberger and rice boiled. Well even I know that antibiotics takes 48-72 hours...so why call back 36 hours later? (Do they want me to come back for another visit? $$) Also, how do you say it's a lymphoma? I don't call...dog is a little better by the following week and but within a month he is back not doing well, so I type symptoms into computer search...low and behold everyone of them points to Cholitis?? I stave him for 24 hours and start adding pumpkin to diet, and call them to ask for more anitbiotic...YOU HAVE TO BRING HIM IN OR BRING IN STOOL SAMPLE...no thank you...could you have VET call me? NO call in 3 weeks...my dog is getting better little by little and his "lymphomas" are getting smaller and smaller...Cholitis is imflammation of large intestent. So disappointed in this office.

We have been with Portsmouth veterinary clinic since before they had the beautiful new building. They have always been great and GASPAR approves. So two thumbs up from us.

The service and the care you get here is top notch, but sadly became a bit unaffordable for me so I had to bring my pets elsewhere. My pets are older and teeth cleaning is a must, but after an $800+ bill a few years ago it was sadly time to move on. The care they get now is still great, but a bit more impersonal. PVC has the cleanest facility around and the staff genuinely care, but a little out of reach financially.

We were looking to change vets. My one cat has diabetes. We made an appt for today at 3pm. My boyfriend calked at 2:40. They said noone could come in etc. Thats fine. We called at 3:05 cuz we were out there, do we need to call? There was only 2 cars in parking lot. So we call. A very street soundung girl with NO TACT informed us that we were late and the tech is busy. We left. Hire people that have people skills. Guess I should pay more cuz this place is super RUDE

Lovely people, excellent service, top notch clinic. Highly Recommend. Thank you, PVC! Our dog Mookie went missing on a visit with friends in Tiverton. After calling the police, alerting neighbors and searching for him for hours, we expanded our search to include Veterinarians in the area to see if anyone had found him. He's Microchipped, as are all our dogs. During our calls, one clinic and their staff stood out to us and that was PVC! They took real interest in our dilemma and showed compassion for Mookie. Fast forward to a few hours later and Mookie was found! The next day, he was exhausted and we were concerned that he was dehydrated. The ONLY clinic we thought to bring him was Portsmouth Veterinary Clinic and they were GREAT! Thank you, Kelly!

My dog is my life. Picking where I take him for his medical care is just as important to me as where I go for my own care. When I found this clinic, I knew I had found the place for us. Our initial appointments were excellent as a first impression. The vet who initially worked with us was so kind and caring to me as a worried dog mom, and was so sweet to my lil guy. When it was time to have some minor surgeries, I took him here and they were as kind to him as they were to me...even when I lost it and started crying about him having to have surgery. When we got a puppy, l knew we were going to bring him here too. The front desk recommended a dog trainer for us, and he was extremely expensive and didn't actually end up helping us, which was why they got a 4 instead of a 5 star. The best experience however was on our puppy's first visit here, the vet that saw him was so excited that he took a video and posted it on instagram. Our puppy loved the tech so much , i had to pry him away in order to leave. A great first impression for us with him. We will continue to come here for the future of our pet needs while we are in this area, and we highly recommend it to others looking for vet care.

I was in town for a few weeks with a sick pup, and they we great squeezing us in for a last minute appointment. They also called around to find the medication for my pup. Awesome staff and doctors!

This may be my first check in but I've been coming here well over 20 years with many dogs and a few cats. I can tell you unequivocally that these folks are THE BEST I ever worked with. You won't find more accommodating, caring, and knowledgeable folks anywhere... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
