Fantastic selection of classic cars and even the newer models are amazing. Well lit, with east wide walkways made maneuvering easy even with our canes

This is a great car museum with a ton of beautiful cars from across the ages. We will definitely head back. Fantastic gift shop, and the staff was really kind. Only knocked one of the stars because after spending forever in the gift shop, it's starting to be completely obvious that there were a lot of weird semi misogynistic posters, and souvenirs that had a weird little knocks at women's expense. Nothing crazy at all, just a ton of pieces talking about how women are nagging, always shopping, difficult, or not interested in cars. One or two seem to be standard, a few more than that is fine, but it started to become a little obvious once we were looking around the souvenir shop for a few minutes. All in good fun I suppose, but with that many, it felt pointed. It was just a little weird and kind of stuck with me after -other than that will definitely come back.

Over 90 cars on display including many makes, models and vintages. We really enjoyed this museum and the $20 per adult ticket price was very reasonable. The museum includes such manufactures as Lamborghini, Porsche, Chevy, Buick, Cadillac, Bugatti, Volvo, Jaguar, Plymouth, Ford and more. Our only critical feedback is that many of the cars from the ‘50s are displayed with the hood open so that you can see the engines. We would love to see more displayed with the hoods closed so that the lines and total look,of the cars can be fully appreciated.

Wow! This museum is just wonderful. On par with the Peterson car museum LA. Fantastic collection of cars in pristine condition and a the docents were friendly and helpful and available to answer questions. I would highly recommend this museum.

Wanted to visit here for a while and finally was able to stop in since I had some time. Give yourself about 1-2 hours to visit this place since this has over 90 cars in the collection of all types. Keep in mind, this is one individuals car collection of high value cars from all over the world which is pretty spectacular. The museum is split up into sections, with World cars in the middle, Corvettes and Mustangs to the right, Porsche to the left and muscle and classic cars to the far left. The cars are from all years from new to older, 1950s/1960s. Some of these cars are quite impressive to see and the museum is laid out nicely and all the cars are open to look inside, however you cannot open doors or sit inside any. It is a good place to visit on a rainy day while visiting Newport, its off the beaten path in Portsmouth however, this is most likely a one visit place, not sure I would keep coming back here, although impressive, its a one and done. Prices is reasonable for the visit.

PROS: this place was the biggest car museum I've seen. All kinds of cars here ranging from 1886 to 2020. All displayed and mostly clean. Price of admission is great (and way lower than what these cars cost *wink*)CONS: nobody was at the front desk and some of these cars were leaking. The spinning platforms were also turned offOVERALL: great place to visit and the gift shop seals the deal when you leave

Best car museum so far! We visited right after Saint Patrick's Day and we were very impressed by the vast collection. Beautiful cars in perfect condition, gorgeous display with great accent furniture in a very modern building. I really think this place needs more advertising because I certainly wasn't expecting this kind of cars to be featured under the same roof. Totally worth it!

I only had an hour today and that's unfortunate. The artworks at the Newport Car Museum deserves more than that.Displayed with plenty of room for photos and for you to appreciate the vehicles from 360 degrees, this is a proper car collection of Italian machines and American muscle cars and other interesting unique motor vehicles that demonstrate artwork, efficiency, innovation and beauty.Truly world class vehicles including a 1989 Lamborghini Countach, a 1886 Benz Patent-Motorwagen, 1957 Chrysler 300C Convertible, 1954 Kaiser Darrin 161 and a room of Porsches. It goes on and on. A 1970 Dodge Hemi Challenger, 1958 Chevrolet Impala Convertible, 1957 BMW Isetta, Fabulous! The cars are arranged by collections and each includes a caption that explains some of the history of the vehicle and the design. Lovely. All my pictures: dropbox.com/sh/b33toz7jr…[Review 17940 overall - 63 in Rhode Island - 1461 of 2022.]

Excellent museum. Nice clean museum, well presented car collection and easy viewing. If wad there years ago and was excellent then, but they have added many more cars . I was on way to Newport in the rain and figured I would stop as time to kill in rain before my Newport hotel check in. Was reasonable at 19.00 for adult. I really enjoyed my visit . The Tesla roadster convertible I never saw before and left wondering why Elon Musk doesn't make another convertible? The corvettes, mustangs, muscle cars, Lamborghinis all impressive to see up close and each had a placard with details to read about. Friendly staff ... anyone going to Newport should stop in as on main road and plenty parking.I suggest they advertise with Newport hotels as excellent family visit for a rainy day on vacation.I think people get it confused with the auto museum in downtown Newport which has a different focus . I was confused ... but any car museums are a must see anywhere as a lot of history people see as society has evolved from 1900's to 2022.

What an incredible collection of cars! This place is so cool! We spent a couple of hours checking out some amazing cars. Very impressive collection in a beautiful facility with the most cool and eclectic collection of seats too. . Whether you like current exotics or classic American cars or 60's muscle, there's something for you.

Great place to spend a few hours checking out some amazing cars. I'm not a car-aficionado by any stretch, but my teenage son sure is. I took him here as a treat for Valentine's Day and I found myself in absolute wonder. The layout of the museum resembles a high end car showroom with an aesthetic of an art gallery. Each car has a plaque explaining the specs and a little bit of history of the vehicle. There's looping film reel to provide more insight into some of the car's significance which are frankly amazing. There's plentiful seating thoughtfully placed so that you can admire the vehicles at certain places within the museum (or rest). The docents circulate through the museum and they were more than willing to engage with patrons for banter about the cars or just to answer questions. There was an entire area of the gallery dedicated to the classic fin convertibles, as well as areas dedicated solely to muscle cars, Corvettes and Shelby Mustangs. We happened to visit on an open the hood weekend which gave a peek inside the powerhouse mechanics of some of the vehicles. I mean even I was amazed with the HellCat and 'Cuda engine - over 800 hp??! Prepare to launch! You can't touch these pretty girls but they are creatures of beauty that you can capture with your camera lens. There's no food or beverage sold here that I recall but the gift shop offers up a nice selection of car models, books, hoodies, prints and assorted trinkets.A wondrous adventure to take your mind off the world for a couple hours and dream of driving one of these masterpieces on the open road.
