Overpriced - go only when something is needed immediately. They do have a better selection of groceries and frozen than either ALDI or Market Basket but the prices for what I want are too high

I always come here to shop for my groceries. Staff is always very helpful and nice. Only downside is that sometimes they do not have certain items that I need. All in all very positive experience every time I visit.

I was in the area and stop at the Cottage Street store. I went to the deli and ordered the store brand honey ham that was on sale for 4.99/lb. The guy seemed confused and took a good 5 minutes or so in the back. He came out after a long while and sliced it. He then charged me 6.99/lb. I told him about it. A manager came by and told him the code to use. He still had a problem. A girl came to help and I think she said he sliced the wrong ham. Then it seemed she said he needed to get the correct ham. I told them to forget about it and I left the store. If he was new I feel bad but that was awful,

I give this stop and shop customer service as 0 stars! WHY? Because my Asian grandma tried to call and she didn’t know any English, it was her first time in America and there was no help at all in customer service and the people hung up the phone on her.This was rude and disrespectful. My grandma called two times and tried to communicate as best as she could and got hanged up TWO TIMES right on the spot just for saying two stuff cause they didn’t understand her and there was no “hello” either they just hanged up on her TWO times without saying anything. This feels racist and disrespectful. 0 stars

I've been a customer at the stop & shop for over 15 years I don't know what's going on lately but 90% of the staff are so rude and ignorant. I was shopping with my kids one day and was in the produce section and a guy stalking some vegetables got all angry as we walked by me and me and my daughter couldn't understand why he picked up a car by the handle and slammed it back down it made us both jump then one of the employees that was doing the online shopping was walking behind a mother with her three children rolling his eyes at this family. I guess her 3 year old was walking a little too slow for him he was clearly very annoyed. When you're shopping not one employee engages with you smiles at you says hello it's just not a friendly vibe shopping here I'm going to start taking the further drive to get better experience elsewhere. I work in customer service myself and would never.
