I've been at the Slater Cotton Mill for 4 years now. Love the girls in the office, love the residents, & love the amenities here. Biggest bang for your buck at this property with all the amenities they offer along with the ability to get anywhere in the state and MA so easily. Honestly, best place I've lived and couldn't recommend it more.

My friend has lived in the building for years and raved about the staff - so we stayed with her for a week to check it out when it came time to find a new place. Wonderful and efficient maintenance guys and the manager, meline, is delightful! Overall great experience and hope to book our place here.

Don't expect consistency in their rental requirements or communication. They conveniently changed their requirements for renting AFTER giving them a $500 deposit.

So they took my $500 deposit and THEN changed the requirements for renting an apartment after they got it. Whatever you do, look somewhere else for an apartment...

DO NOT RENT HERE . It's very clear that the landlord/ owner does not care about the team they have managing their "luxury apartments". There are countless reviews about Nicole's unprofessional behavior and yet she still sits at the front desk repeatedly treating tenants with the upmost disrespect. It's clear she does not have the skill set to conduct herself in an appropriate manner when handling challenging situations . She raises her voice, talks over you and threatens you with reporting/ penalties etc. There isn't a contact to discuss management concerns . The only contact they'll provide is Meline , who is also onsite but refuses to intervene with the ongoing issues circulating her staff. Management will constantly make up rules and policies when they don't like someone or when they want a tenant to just do whatever it is they're instructing them to do. For example - The complex says they're pet friendly with breed restrictions. Pets must also be spayed or neutered . This past year they Told tenants if they want a second pet it needs to be over a year old. They've also allowed boxers, bullies and Doberman pinchers along with countless pets who haven't been spayed or neutered. Tenants received a mass email from management stating quiet hours are in full effect at 10 pm on weekends and holidays - no exceptions. The email ended with a reminder that tenants don't have ownership in the property so they need to abide by the rules. The apartments have a unique look and are at first sight appealing . When I moved in (unseen due to the property's request)there were scratches and marks all over the cabinets, knobs missing, stains on the carpet, windows that didn't open, mouse droppings under the sink and paint stains on the hard wood floors. The hallways smell musky in the summer& the complex claims they have a gym but none of the machines work. Theres a treadmill that's been sitting in the gym with a post it that says " Don't plug me in I spark". Crime is high in the neighborhood. The cars in the parking lot are constantly being broken into. If you ask anyone living here they'll confirm that catalytic converters are constantly being stolen. I would hardly call this complex luxury when both the customer service and property are severely lagging in what it actually means to be called luxury .

I cannot wait to move out of here. I have loved the space, the other tenants, the convenient access to Rt 95 and Hope Street shops and downtown Providence, etc. Now that there is a brand new train station w/ trains to Boston within walking distance, Slater Cotton Mills Apartments is likely going to look even better to prospective tenants.Word to the wise: DO NOT LIVE HERE IF NICOLE IS STILL THE MANAGER!Will provide details on her petty, punitive and snarky behavior once I'm safely and fully moved out. Wish me luck.Nicole is very menacing and vindictive.(I just had an eviction notice MAILED to me even though she knows I am moving out in May). How she is still employed here is beyond my comprehension. Good riddance. Slater Mill. Loved everything about being there but the manager.

I've been waiting two years to write this review since Nichole, the office manager, is so petty. I needed the reference from this place for my next moves. I lived here from about 9/19-9/20. Moving in, things were awesome, I loved the place! The interior is gorgeous, the large open common areas, the amenities, basketball court, gym, movie theater, all of it! Lovely! Then I started living here. The place I live in now has a dumpster for every 30 units. This place has three dumpsters (of the same size) for, what, 200? Always overflowing. This is Pawtucket. They have a horrible rodent problem in the city as a whole and Dalkey never really seemed too concerned about improving any of it. Not to mention, if you are in the larger building in the upper floors, its about a quarter mile walk from your unit to the dumpster and back. The roof deck is like 20x20 and can comfortably seat about 10 people. So 1% of you will really be able to enjoy it. I was away for a month, in the middle of COVID, because of my traveling COVID ICU nurse GF needing some support out of state. Everyone's least favorite Dalkey employee, Nichole, sent out an email blast saying there was a snow storm and removal of the piles were scheduled. Everyone needs to move their car or they 100% will be towed. I called miss Friendly saying it was impossible for me to move my car since I was out of state and she said "I could pick it up from impound when I get back". So I drove the hundreds of miles there to move to the satellite lot (Right where all the homeless people shoot up and buy their drugs) and slept at home overnight, because that's how long the drive was. In the morning I saw over 30 vehicles that were never moved or towed. I spent an entire day traveling for no obvious reason. My apartment was on the ground floor and was still "under construction" when I moved in. I am an HVAC engineer by profession. The large common room with a ceiling over 14 feet tall had one single 12" duct serving an approximate 14x18x14 space with a simple register 10 feet in the air. All other apartments I saw had duct work with reducers and multiple diffusers. What this meant as a tenant, was the air handler sounded like a jet engine all the time and the living room and bedroom were 7 degrees different in temperature. There is no engineering here. The HVAC looks like it was put together with scraps left over from other jobs. My window was ground level with the communal outdoor grill and designated smoking area. Whatever, I know what I signed up for when I chose that location. That night I got back from traveling, there was a complaint left in my mailbox, postage paid and everything, threatening my lease because of smoking cigarettes indoors. I don't smoke. My friends don't smoke. No one ever smoked in that apartment. The complaint was that cigarettes are being smoked in my apartment and one more violation will revoke my lease and I will be responsible for all related charges and fees. I lost my cool. Management never called me, talked to me, text, or emailed. I picked up packages from their offices and had conversations with these people. Not a word. But they did take the time to mail a letter through USPS to my mailbox a thousand feet away. They literally paid for the postage. After Nikky finally admitted it could have been from the designated smoking area (literally 5 feet from my window) there was no apology or rescinding of the lease warning. Just from that moment on I dealt with the sweetheart assistant manager and would never talk to Nichole. It looks awesome, it's cheap, they spend a lot on looking good. The everyday everything is miserable. If you can live years without a flood (I couldn't) or theft (I couldn't) or trash issues (I couldn't) or neighbor issues (I couldn't) or cars getting towed and management not having your back proving your license plate is in their database (I couldn't) then I guess it wouldn't be so bad. The management in this building fits the neighborhood. Garbage. ***ED

I’m not sure why there are so many poor reviews, but we had a fantastic experience here. The management was incredibly responsive, the actual apartment was spacious, the amenities were great, and all for a super fair price. If we find ourselves back in Rhode Island, we will for sure move back.

The front desk girls were super helpful in the move in/move out process and answering any random questions I had. The apartments are very nice and kept up to date. Maintenance was always very helpful whenever I had any issues or requests with fixing problems. Overall, I think it’s a great place to call home.

Awful place to live. Management is beyond rude, makes up their own rules, and decides to do whatever they want. They're also never in the office, yet claim to care about their residents. For the prices they're charging for rent, mind as well buy a house. Least you'll be able to do whatever you want.

I have to agree 100% on what the review's are stating about management. My 2 biggest problems Here it is Totally disrespectful unprofessional behavior from management you would not be able to see it till you have a problem if you talk to management on a good note you'll here other tenants business the trust level of management is a total 0 I gave a rating of 1star because the apartments are nice apartment however do not move to the 5th floor you will have problems with your ceiling noise sounding like rocks falling or heavy rain falling debris falling in you kitchen afront room and if you have a loft that too from also maybe water leaks wind coming from your windows and ceiling be prepared for a high gas and electric billI I'm a tent for 5 years and had this problem for 4 years of my time here now after the last snow storm IT WAS SNOWING IN MY PLACE FROM THE WINDOW AND CEILING THAT WAS JANUARY HERE IT IS MARCH AND THEY ARE STILL PLAYING GAMES! About to look for legal advice
