Great service - friendly, fast, and efficient. Easy to rent moving accessories like hand truck and furniture dolly as add-ons, which were sturdy and great quality. The truck was clean and all as expected. Would definitely use this location again!!

Yesterday, Oct 30 2023 i went to the uhaul on 146 dowling highway, and it was raining, the employer made me walk all the way to the back where the bushes to get my truck. He didnt want to get wet. Im a 60 year old lady with disability. Ive been renting there for many years and this was a first. Usually the employer will go get the truck and park it in front of store. I wont be renting there anymore nor recommend that locationVery dissapointed

Whoever made Jordan King GM of this establishment royally messed up. He has the customer service capability of a 2 year old. Zero work ethic. Zero sense of urgency. Zero hardworking skills. 100% lazy. Complete embarrassment to Uhaul.

Online check in told me to skip the line for my key. Yea right. 1 line 1 worker. I was 15 minutes late getting my truck because of this. Secondly, I ordered dollys to come with the truck. Your guess is right. No dolly in the truck. The did refund me. But this place is a joke. I'd open up a competitor if I could and put uhaul out of business. Step your game up or I see that in the future.

Overall this U-Haul Storage Center is in good shape and has decent lighting and it was easy to rent the truck and return it. I had no problems with any of that. Where the problem came in was that I had gone online picked out the unit they had available that I wanted for $119.95 and paid for it online and let them know when I would be moving in and signed a contract online. When I got there with the truck full of stuff and went in to get access to my storage unit they said the price was $129.95 even though I had the email stating that it would be $119.95. Apparently they had raised the price $10 between when I signed the contract and when I got there. I asked to speak to a manager about it and they said no one was available but I could call him and leave a message. I had no choice but to take the unit for that price which was exactly the same size and configuration as the one I had paid for online because I had a truck full of stuff there waiting and no place else to put it. The person behind the desk said that I could talk to the manager about it later. And agreed that I should at least get the $119.95 for the first month which sounded fair to me. Unfortunately when I spoke to the manager the next day he absolutely refused to do anything for me and said there was nothing he could do about it because I already signed the contract and that the price had changed. If I had been able to put my stuff anywhere else I would have. I think that that is literally a bait and switch tactic and that they were in the wrong. I should have at least gotten my first month for that $119.95 that I paid online to reserve my unit

I stopped in a day before moving to get an estimate on a 12 foot U-Haul. I was quoted 375$ for a 260 mile trip which seemed very fair. I thought things through, and figured I’d cut the price in half not driving the truck back. Instead id return it to the closest location once I had moved 130 miles away.I show up the following morning to pick up the truck. I walk into an empty store and wait for a minute before being approached by an awkward silent employee. I said hello and began the conversation like I was the one working..We began the process of checking out the vehicle, shortly after I’m asked when I’ll be returning the truck. I told the employee I’d be returning the truck to the closest U-haul where I was moving, 130 miles away. He let out a loud long sigh and told me he’d have to restart. God forbid you have to re enter three words on the keyboard!He tells me the total is 784$ and asks for my card. It was the same employee as the day before who quoted me 375$ FOR 260 MILES. I reminded him of the 375$ and asked why the increase in price. He told me it was 375$ for 260 miles “in town”. The 784$ was a result of traveling out of town. Whatever that means? I’m still not able to tell you.Rhode Island is 48 miles from the northern most tip to the southern most tip. Did this idiot think I was going to circle around the state 9 times or something? Would not recommend U-haul, this location in particular. Ended up renting a Penske truck 260 miles (back and forth because it was cheaper for 290$)

I've been here a few times. Always smooth. Only two staff but they were working together and doing an incredible job. There didn't seem to be the usual "you have these responsibilities and I have these". They were just doing what needed to be done to make sure everyone was taken care of in a timely manner. They were also both polite and helpful.

My experience is with payroll and the mismanagement of 146A. When you work all week plus o.t and they deposit $45. For a full week and no answer as to why and not to mention not much more than the standard run around that's really bad... Would not work here. Unless you like working for free.

We're moving out of state and I bought all of our boxes and paper tape from this U-Haul location in North Smithfield, RI. Very affordable and there's a container in the front with free used boxes donated by customers. The employees are always friendly and helpful (unlike the people in Cumberland on Mendon Rd) and the store is very clean and organized. Always a pleasant experience!
