I made apt Saturday 8/10 am to euthanize my cat.
My husband and and I go to the counter and the first thing out of the receptionist mouth was your not in the system we cannot find your name??
I'm looking at this lady ,like who cares I'm here to put my cat down.
Which she knew .
Finally the Vet came out to greet us who was very pleasant I voiced my concern of the heartless receptionist I dealt with.She then asked me to settle my bill without stopping at the counter? Paying cash I was glad I did not have to deal with this non people and pet person as I exited.
I would advise this establishment to get help that are caring people.

Best animal hospital I've ever used. After moving I used animal hospitals closer to me. After my last experience with Vetco in Smithfield, I decided just to drive a few miles more to use North Smithfield Animal hospital again. The staff is great and very nice. Dr. Allen is a great vet, very open and compassionate, and took great care of my Siamese kitten when I had her spayed. Prices are cheaper than what you pay at a chain of animal hospitals. I highly recommend North Smithfield Animal Hospital!

Been using North Smithfield Animal hospital since our first pets, it was great to see Dr. Allen as she's known my family for years, and the staff has always been great to deal with and easy to talk to.

Absolutely amazing staff! The Dr was so friendly, and helpful. You can tell that they genuinely care about your pets. The office is spacious, bright, clean and inviting. I'm actually sad that we moved and have to find a different vet. I would recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a thorough, caring vet office. I really miss them

Staff is nice. The wait wasn't too long. The vet took her time examining my cat and answering my questions. She seemed just as interested in the well-being of my pet as I am. Great place to go!

My review is mixed. They are definitely compassionate about your animal and clearly demonstrate this in whatever the need is. They listen and offers solutions and/or just interact overall really well with both human and pet. The issue is actually getting into the appointment as their scheduling routine needs some serious improvement. I waited close to 40 minutes for a booster shot, that took a vet tech less than 2 minutes to perform once they walked out to the waiting room to actually administer it. An annual appointment 2 months later had me waiting over 45 minutes, no exaggeration. It seems the wait is getting worse as while I’ve always had to wait, these 2 were the worst, and there’s no acknowledgement from the desk or the vets about the wait. My dog is really good, but it’s still frustrating being in a waiting room that long with your dog, keeping him in a closed defined spot, and no one is telling you what’s going on.
