Awful business managed by unprofessional and irresponsible people. Marissa and Danielle both continue to either make no decisions at all to improve the wellbeing and care of the children. Or they engaged in immoral and unethical procedures in how they treat both staff and parents. Do not bring your children here if you care about them.

You guys are dead trash… never gonna bring any family member here ,doesn’t treat any kids right , doesn’t have no respect , and is just not a good place overall to bring any kid, they don’t know how to take care of kids ,no professionalism whatsoever , this place is a complete health issue towards kids.

My grand daughter always left Briarwood with a dirty face. Lunch time they don't hand the kids there lunch and then a snack. They give the kids there lunches and let them eat what they want, in no particular order. Explains why they say double up on the snacks. Briarwood says it's a pre-k environment. My grand daughter never brought home pictures that she made or work that she has done. The day care she attended prior was a distance away. If it wasn't for the distance she would have stayed in that day care.

Briarwood Child Academy is full of an excellent staff of teachers. The new director Kim, and Peter have made the place feel welcoming. The Around the World Curriculum that has been developed is great for the kids. I would recommenced attending this daycare to anyone.

Our daughter started at Briarwood Child Academy when she was only 6 weeks old. Saying that it was hard to leave her for the first time would be a drastic understatement. But like most moms, I had to return to work. After looking at multiple daycare centers in the area, choosing Briarwood was an easy decision. Their school was clean, spacious, knowledgeable, and you could tell that it had a very close knit community feeling. The teachers there have been nothing short of amazing. We even jokingly call them our "co-parents" to everyone we know. The school has a set curriculum, even for the infants, to make sure every child is developing the proper age appropriate skills. In addition to a great team and facility, they have a mobile app that you can download and see what your infants schedule was for the day! This was great relief for a new mom like myself. When they ate, what they ate, when they had a bottle, how many ounces, diaper changes, etc. You can even message back and forth with the teachers to check-in without seeming totally crazy. And nothing brightens up a work day more than having pictures of your child playing and learning sent directly to your phone!I can not say enough good things about Briarwood Child Academy and will always think of their staff as part of our family. I would recommend them to any one who wants to ensure the care, safety, and excelled learning and development for their child.

We moved my daughter to Briarwood Child Academy a little over a year ago. It was the best decision we could have made for her. She went from being extremely shy with a distaste for going to "school" to a child who is excited every day to go see her friends and teachers. She has improved both academically and socially. Her teachers as well as the other staff at Briarwood have always made themselves available to discuss any concerns I have had or to answer my questions.Even when we moved away from North Smithfield, we kept our daughter at Briarwood. I just can't imagine moving her away from somewhere that we love so much.

My son currently attends BCA, which was formerly Dr. Daycare. When the changes were announced that we'd be leaving the Dr. Daycare family I was very disheartened. I struggled with the fact the every single teacher in my son's toddler room left rather quickly with zero transition for him and his class mates. I was irritated that we were not often kept in the loop on the changes that were going to be made. And then I realized, it was more than likely me being a bit tough on the facility going through major changes. Change is hard for everyone. Since the change, my son has moved up to the preschool class room. He loves it. Every night before bed he tells me that he wants to go to preschool again. He never told me that before. He used to cry and scream at drop off. He has seemed to be more creative, his language is booming, he is making more friends, and has become increasingly social and confident.Furthermore, I am very impressed with how Marie and Peter and the rest of the staff are taking all of the changes in stride. They are now keeping us informed, regularly. They are welcoming and answer all of my "helicopter parent" questions-my words, not theirs. The preschool teachers are great. My 4 star rating is being given because everything is still very much in transition and I am excited to see this all come together to provide my child the best possible experience in child care.
