All the shelters are doing the best they can to help animals, since many people prefer to buy a designer dogs instead of rescuing, it's difficult for the shelters to keep a float. One suggestion to Rhode Island shelters is to lower the cost in order for people to be able to afford it. Discounts should be given to Senior citizenscitizens discount should be taken in consideration while adoption

They’re in dire need of a new space. Unlike most municipal shelters you can’t just walk in and visit animals. The staff however are lovely. Between them and the NPPD, they are happy to help with strays. I’ve never heard of them discriminating on breed as stated on reviews here.

This place is terrible, & doesn’t even deserve a star. On their website it says that they are open, however everything is locked. The dogs are in the back barking and no one to be found. Can I just say abandoning not only your job, but the exact reasons why you take dogs in!! Signs are posted “Abandonment of Animals is a criminal offense”, so this means that they too should go to jail. I’ve been sitting out front for about an hour and a half now.I want to assume that someone is at least on site because for the first 20 minutes the dogs weren’t in the back.(the dogs weren’t barking). Now they are and no one around, or at least another ttending to their customers!!! I was interested in adopting a dog from here. You guys just lost a willing samaritan wanting to help these dogs!!! Debating on calling the police!

My wife and I adopted our new family member "Scout" from npas and we're very pleased and impressed with the way your staff treated us and Scout. People who write bad reviews don't understand the pressure and responsibility that your officers have. No, they can't just give dogs to anyone. I wouldn't either. Have you smelled some people lately. Those people should be in the cages and the dogs should be watching them.
