Venue is beautiful, perfect for the shower/exactly what we were looking for aesthetically. CAUTION: Document everything discussed with Franchesca and proceed with caution when communicating. For some strange reason she always "means something else." It seems that Franchesca's preference is to talk over the phone rather than providing written responses to emails. During several conversations with myself, mom to be, and mother of the mom to be (all separate conversations), Franchesca gave favorable responses then changed her response about capacity, parking, ADA access, clean up, rentals, etc. (I believe she just needed a booking so she said yes to all of my questions). Franchesca never updated the contract, did not send a fully executed contract, was misleading about parking and ADA access, didn't know how to work her own speaker, told us that the shelves in the fridge couldn't be removed to put the cake inside, and the list goes on. Franchesca also told me that she would not be present during the event but would be in reach if I needed her because she doesn't have an office on-site, which was fine. During set up, her husband introduced himself and said that if I needed anything, his number was on the wall. He didn't leave, in fact, he babysat our event, walking in and out as he pleased. Several people asked who he was because he was very much out of place. At one point I came out of the kitchen and he had a plate of food. Another time, I came out of the kitchen and he was eating a slice of cake. He certainly wasn't there to help because we did absolutely everything (set up, trash, dismantle, speaker, etc.). After we paid in full, Franchesca became difficult to talk to. She kept cutting us (mom to be, myself) off during conversations before we could complete a thought. She also told us that she would clean everything, then decided that she didn't clean and we had to remove our own trash unless we paid her $150 additional for trash removal because she didn't have access to a dumpster. The time allotted wasn't worth the price, especially when her husband lingered like we were in his way (very tacky). Wasn't a comfortable feeling as we felt we were being watched throughout our rental. The shower was gorgeous and all the guests were pleased. My overall experience for the price I paid is about a 4 (1-10 scale).

Franchesca was a pleasure to work with while planning my wedding! She was very prompt with answering emails/phone calls and very attentive to details. I found myself to be very nit-picky as our date grew closer and when I had an issue with my bridal bouquet on the morning of my wedding she dropped everything and fixed it right away. She was very organized and honest with my expectations and quotes, and respected our budget--even came up with alternative ideas (i.e., instead of a floral arch at the alter, she suggested taller stemmed plants and placed tea lights on them, which looked gorgeous and stayed within my price range). She is so sweet and definitely has an adaptable vision. I wanted baby's breath flower crowns for my flower girls but I was was worried that one of them, my 18-month-old flower girl, would rip out her flower crown--Franchesca instead made a baby's breath hair clip for her instead, which stayed the entire night! She was also very knowledgeable about my venue, the Providence Public Library, which helped me be a little bit more decisive when it came to which areas I wanted to decorate with fresh flowers (helped cut the cost for me)! All in all, she's great at what she does, her website/social media absolutely reflects what she can do, and she can tastefully add a touch of elegance to your special day!

Franchesca was the florist for our wedding on 11/04/22 in Newport, RI and her work went above and beyond my expectations. Finding a florist was more challenging than anticipated, but when our photographer recommended Franchesca's we knew we would be in good hands! Franchesca was so easy to work with - she was incredibly responsive throughout the planning process and was on top of every single detail. When we saw the flowers on the wedding day we were stunned. They were SO beautiful - everything we wanted and more. Our guests complimented our bouquets and centerpieces throughout the entire evening! Thank you so so so much to Franchesca and her team for doing such incredible work and for being so wonderful to plan with. If you need a florist for your wedding or event, look no further!

I strongly recommend Franchesca’s Events and Floral Design for any event, especially your wedding. Franchesca created the most stunning floral and candle arrangements for our wedding day. All of our guests and the other wedding vendors were so impressed with our florals and repeatedly mentioned how beautiful the venue looked with the arrangements. Franchesca was also a dream to work with. Our wedding vision completely changed halfway through the planning process – we were initially planning a light, airy, and monochrome summer wedding but landed on a vibrant, bold, multi-color winter wedding (5 months earlier than our original date!). Franchesca was so flexible and patient with us through these changes and actively encouraged our new vision by talking through updated floral ideas. She also carefully considered our budget and worked closely with us to make sure we were satisfied with both the design and cost of the florals for our day. Franchesca and her team are so sweet and highly skilled. We were so lucky to have them on our team and can’t wait to work with them again in the future!

AVOID!! Terrible!! We were about to pay the deposit and then were canceled on due to the "Style of wedding". Not sure if it was the interracial part or the same sex part the disagreed with. Owner/manager told me she would "pray for me".

Can’t thank Francesca enough for the beautiful job she did for my daughter’s wedding this past weekend at the Eisenhower House in Fort Adams. Not only were the bouquets and centerpieces stunning, they were beautifully fragrant! Francesca was also much more reasonably priced than most florists. Many of the wedding guests wanted to know who did our flowers, so I will shout it out to everyone, Francesca is the florist to use for any of your events!! She is very kind, listens to exactly what you want, and creates beautiful arrangements!

Franchescas was my florist for my wedding in May 2022 at Eisenhower House in Newport and was ABSOLUTELY amazing. I didn’t really know what I truly wanted but Franchesca was able to take my minimal knowledge of flowers and create a masterpiece. Everyone was complementing our centerpieces and bouquets! I would highly recommend Franchescas events and floral design!

The place is lovely. Sits only 50 people, 5 round tables, no kitchen, just a sink and a fridge. Caterers aren't even to cater properly with the back room provided. Decorations are at a minimum. No leeway for any kind of customization there. No guest can hang outside the venue. But the management is horrible. When you call them they pick up the phone with no greeting or anything. They pick up and say "AHLO?" And sometimes I begin to question if it's franchescas on waterplace that I'm calling. I've scheduled to see the venue after putting my deposit down. Once I got there nobody was there. I called in the rain and nobody picked up. Nobody got back to me in 3 days. Save everyone time and their deposit money. It's $2500. If you pay upfront (which you have to) they reserve the right to keep it regardless of cancellations due to covid or anything else. Was a head ache the whole time. Place is pretty, but unprofessional to work with.

We originally started talking to Franchesca because we were looking for a place to host our wedding, but then we saw her beautiful flower arrangements and knew we had to have them as part of our special day! She has also been super flexible and accommodating in working with us during the pandemic as we had to change our date and plans multiple times. In the end, we were able to order flowers for our small intimate backyard wedding in another state, and Franchesca and her team delivered on time and the flowers arrived perfectly. Franchesca and staff were absolutely delightful to work with from beginning to end for both our photoshoot and vow renewal flowers! Throughout the process they were very patient with me for at some points I was uncertain as to what I wanted and they provided beautiful suggestions. They are extremely talented and are able to replicate and make even more beautiful any floral arrangement that you may have in mind. For our event, everyone thought the arrangements were very beautiful and I was blown away by the detail and professionalism they demonstrated!

This place is incredible, Franchesca is so kind , and really is so passionate about her business. She did my bridal shower, my engagement party, and my wedding . I won't ever stop recommending her , she does such an amazing job. Just recently went for mother's day to pick up a couple of pieces , and WOW! Never ceases to amaze !
