Horrible service, Unexperienced mechanics, Overpriced!!!
I called up the place and got the car inspected same day because of a suspension issue.
First of all, They said it was a wheel bearing, which I got a third opinion after because it did not seem like one, and they said struts. When the struts got replaced the issue went anyway! Not the wheel bearing!
Second, They got back to me at 4:55 and they close at 5, and sent over the repair notice when they wanted $1300 to replace a wheel bearing which is in good condition and we declined it because $1300!?!?! They said they would call right back and we did not get a call so we called directly at 5 and no one answered at all! And we needed the car tommorrow! This was a Friday and they were closed the weekend and Labor day was Monday so we wont have a car until Tuesday!
This is RIDICULOUS!

J&S is hands down the best mechanic we have ever used. My car stopped running and we had to have it towed to J&S Auto Repair. They communicated with me often and sent a thorough and easy to understand email with a quote of what needed to be fixed. The email had items color coded based on what was urgent and wasn’t. I was able to confirm and sign via email which was very convenient.
A day or two after I picked up our car I started to hear a squeal noise. After a call they squeezed me in. It ended up being a little dirt or water on a belt. They cleaned it and added lube while I waited (under 10 min). They were thoughtful when hearing about my concern. So so impressed with them. We will be bringing our cars here when needed and I would recommend you do as well, you won’t regret it.

I have found the J&S team in North Kingstown to be honest, responsive and fair. I rely on their team to service multiple family owned vehicles. I highly recommend J&S if you are looking for service on your vehicle.

I’ve had 2 oil and lube/ safety inspections performed so far and I’m very satisfied with the experiences— including convenient scheduling, specific requests, helpful car information, work performed and professional customer service. I plan on continuing to use them because of this in addition to their good pricing and near location.

Really appreciated the car service back and forth to my place while I waited for work to be completed on my car. Employees were knowledgeable and friendly. This shop came highly recommended, and I would definitely go back.

I had a great but unsuccessful experience getting my car serviced by J&S. The appointment process, customer service, and shuttle were great. The team declined to service my car (a Porsche) because of a lack of familiarity. This was a high integrity decision and I will be taking my other cars to them.
