Im not sure where to start. Not only is everyone kind and compassionate but being a nervous pet owner I can only tell you that I have never been made this calm by the best dr and tech I have ever met! It's so hard to get an appointment in this part of the country but I promise you that it is so worth the wait!!!! Love you guys

Asked around to find the best vet for my 2 dogs. They were the unanimous winner. Also board my dogs there when needed. Always happy to be there!!

My family has brought ************, to n.k. animal hosp. for 40+ years, starting in the late 70's when we had our pony. I had brought 1 of our dogs there 10 years ago. No problems. I now have a smaller dog that needs puppy shots. I thought I'd go to our long term vet, even though it's been a while. My significant other is experiencing medical problems & has been in & out of the hosp. since late Dec. and will be coming home again, on hospice care. :-( I had an appointment for my small dog, on the day SO, went into the hosp. So missed the appnt.I had to call to reschedule & to my surprise, was informed I'd have to pay a missed appointment fee. O.k. "surprised", but no prob. I then asked a family member to take puppy to the next appnt. They also had their own medical issues & appnt the same day, but agreed. The family member said they were there, bit a bit late, as they're appnt was a little longer than expected. When they got to n.k. animal hosp. They refused to do the puppy ************* but took the ***** sample to test. Then asked for a 68$ appointment reservation fee (?) for the next appnt. That's not including the charges for the missed ******************* test. I and my family have never had these type of issues, with them before. You would think they would be more understanding of my situation, considering the fact, my SO is approaching the end of life. I'm starting to reconsider my decision, to use n.k. animal hosp as my vet, for my puppy. Don't get me wrong... They are an excellent veterinarian hosp. That's why I wanted to go back to them. But it just seems like they are starting to think of them selves, as a people doctor & adding fees, that you would find at a specialist doctor & not very understanding of your situation. I'll go a few more times & if I am still experiencing this added fee situation, then I'll have to rethink my decision of using them for my veterinary needs & update my review, as seems appropriate.

I've been coming to this vet for 42 years 7 dogs, and one cat, the staff have always been attentive and caring all the doctors I've dealt with have been professional and caring, we've said goodbye to three dogs there and they were compassionate and patient during the procedure, we just came from there for our girls yearly, Dr Springer was so good with the girls and took her time to be thorough with our babies care. The entire staff and doctors are great.

The staff are so friendly and accommodating. We loved Dr. Mandarini! We've been to a few vets that didn't work out. They couldn't seem to handle our feisty cat but Dr. Mandarini handled him with care. Highly recommend!

NK Animal Hospital has always been so great to my dogs. The staff is very caring & accommodating. I just always feel like my dog is in good hands when I take him to North Kingstown Animal Hospital.

Girls who answer the phone and check you in and out are fantastic. Very friendly and efficient. The doctor I saw was so good! Thorough, patient, didn't make me feel rushed, explained everything. Wonderful experience!

Zero trust in this practice providing proper care for your pet or professionalism to its customers. Poorly managed, all around disorganized, and incredibly rude. Honestly NK Animal Hospital - I've had pets my entire life and am shocked at your establishment. You're a poor member of the community and I worry about any animal that comes to you. If you care about your pet and have self respect this isn't the place to take your business or loved one. As usual, I'd expect an empty, pathetic, meaningless response from the business owner filled with platitudes and excuses. Save your time and spend it getting your act together with your practice instead of doing a terrible job at reputation management for bad reviews you earned every ounce of.

Been taking our dogs (and the occasional bunny, gecko, and cat) here for decades! They are the best. Everyone, especially Kristen and Dr. Mandarini, have been so helpful and supportive over the years. We definitely recommend them for everything- well visits, nail clippings, and emergencies!

They have completely lost my trust. We brought my dog in for a pre-dental cleaning exam and my husband handed the vet his paper dental records (our only copies) during the visit. The vet looked them over, but we found out that never got scanned in his records or given back to us. We also never received the dental procedure estimate until days later, after I had called to inquire about the missing dental records. In the past, I have been given a dental estimate at checkout (we went to a different vet before). I called the day after and asked about coming to pick up the records that we never got back and they said they could not find them and that they were not scanned in. They said they were short-staffed and said that I should call back on Monday. Lorie called me on Monday and was talking very fast, I felt rushed and she kept telling me they had two records scanned in and that she emailed them to me. While on the phone with her, I opened the email and saw that the records she emailed me were from three months prior and had nothing to do with the dental records we had just given their office. I told her this and she just kept brushing me off, trying to hurry me off the phone. I explained to her that my husband handed the records to the vet and told her to check with that vet. I followed up via email. I also mentioned that in the exam room, the vet asked the vet tech if they were ok (in front of my husband, which is unprofessional and makes a customer feel weary, this should be done in the back) and that person replied that they were feeling "overwhelmed". Lorie replied that she was extremely proud of her vet for checking in on the vet tech, but she failed to understand that doing so in front of clients makes them feel worried, especially when the office is extremely busy. Lorie did call me back again after checking in with the vet who saw my dog. She said the vet remembered looking at the records, but did not know what happened to them. Lorie did offer to call my previous vet to get all the records, but at this point, and after reading several other recent reviews, I did not feel comfortable bringing my pet to them anymore. No effort was made by Lorie to make the situation right. Calling to get previous records that your office lost does not equate to making the situation right, but that's how far Lorie was willing to go. This office is always super slammed, and I suspect that they are taking on more than they can handle, which ultimately leads to errors. I see it as a blessing in disguise. I hope that this office scales back on the number of patients it takes on, as they clearly cannot handle the volume they are taking on. I worry about mistakes happening to future innocent pets who are taken there. Please do your research and talk to your friends/neighbors about their experiences before taking your animal here. This was just my experience. While it was only lost medical records, those records could have included important information had I gone ahead with a procedure. I had to follow up on something that should have been taken care of, and now I have to find a new vet and spend hundreds again to get my dog established somewhere else. Needless to say, I will never return or recommend them to anyone.

The staff is very compassionate. When my dog spotty was sick they have me and my son enough time to say good bye and not rushed us out and gave us privacy. I miss you Spotty.

I beg you to not bring your dog here. My dog was neglected and abused by this vet on multiple occasions. She left the most recent time with a burn on her leg, a severe bladder infection, and a herniated disc in her back. The vet is not cooperative at all and will not tell me what actually happened. The manager has made excuses every time I call. Nobody is taking responsibility for their actions and now my dog is traumatized of the vet. Please, please stay away and find a different vet.
