I’ve stayed here several times now, and have had a quiet, comfortable stay each time. The beds make for a great night’s sleep. Rooms I’ve stayed in (king bed) are standard size and offer both mini fridge and microwave. Staff has always been friendly. Next door from a restaurant with a fantastic breakfast, (near a pizza place too) and walking distance from a small beach (walk right to Earle Dr and follow until the end, about 2/3 of a mile). I have family in the area and would gladly stay again when I return.

This is a 3 star motel, exactly as described. Pictures are accurate. Economy lodging perfect for an overnight stay.Room: The room was clean enough...great linens on the beds, bathroom was clean, but only a half roll of tp (not a problem). There were a few cobwebs and dead bugs in the windowsills when opening the window shutters, and the door to the room had a slight opening at the top, so some evening no-see-ums flew in the room. 2.5-3 starsLocation: convenient, but in a main road. Not a room you want to hang out in all day.Again, economy lodging for an overnight stay. The farm to table restaurant next door is amazing! 5 stars.Staff: very friendly and accommodating, 5 stars.I would give a 5 star review based on the honesty of the website, but this is a 3-star motel all day long.

The floor had cracks, not swept, no clean towels, definitely not what was pictured!

VERY, VERY rude front desk staff, in a hotel that increases their prices, coinciding with when the nearby college (URI), has an important event. Pure extortion! I don't recommend this hotel to anyone!

Awful. Bugs, bed bugs, roaches, stained towels, mold in shower, room smelled of urine. Manager made poor effort to give appropriate refund. Had to leave finding another hotel with availability was tough. Just very gross. Stay away.

This place should have been torn down years ago. It finally hit me that it was probably left over from a Howard Johnson's in the 50s. They said it was remodeled but the floor was buckling. The sheets looked stained and the headboard was falling apart. The bedside table was halfway into a door less closet and the TV was too low to see from the bed. All in all a disaster. Luckily we only needed to endure one night. Definitely not an "Inn"

Great hotel to stay at for the location and price. Cozy & comfy rooms, like being at a beach cottage. Restaurant next door has delicious food! I highly recommend this place to stay at.

No wash cloths or hand towels, mattress was from 1964, creaky bed. Bathroom was painted by a 5yr old. Tried but missed the mark, try again.

Had a great one night stay at this place! Staff were all polite and friendly. It's not fancy, but room was clean, comfortable and spacious (including the bathroom). I slept like a rock in the king-sized bed. We met local family for breakfast at the place next door and it was amazingly good! The room darkening curtains kept ambient light out (mentioning because a few people have complained about that). Our only complaint is that the walls are rather thin and we could hear the neighbors. But that wasn't until early morning; the place was remarkably quiet overnight. We will stay here again.

Stayed here one night, and it was okay. Everything was a little dirty, there was hair and stains all over the sheets and bedding so I didn't sleep under the covers. There was also a gap in the door (right next to the bed) and it got down to 40 at night without hearing so I was really cold. The shower rod and curtain still had the installation stickers on them, mystery pink stains on the provided soap, there were white stains (you know what kind) all over a folded blanket in the closet, and a piece of glass on the floor that I stepped on as soon as I walked in (with shoes on thankfully).Overall, not a bad stay. But this place should be called a motel, not an Inn.

ORIGIN:The Hamilton Village Inn was originally constructed in the mid-20th century as a single story building atop a former electric train path. It has been independently owned by a succession of people. The current owner acquired the motel a few years ago and has renovated the majority of the rooms with fresh flooring and linens, and new landscaping underway as well. CONCEPT:Despite renovations, Hamilton Village Inn has retained its charm as an independently owned motel of a bygone era. A variety of room types are available, including some with kitchenettes and balconies, in order to meet a range of ocean visitors' needs. Small refrigerators and microwaves are available in each room, and wooden picnic tables are scattered across the front lawn for guests to dine al fresco. EXPERIENCE:There are few relics of the past when it comes to motels in the region between Greenwich, Connecticut and Boston, Massachusetts. Chain motels and hotels are common, and so too is what to expect from each. This is not the case for Hamilton Village Inn -- but that is its very charm. Like other motels, a variety of towels are hung, multi-pillow beds are made, but they are done in a way that gives a sense that you are staying in a friend's or family member's guest suite. Each room is a little different, with prints and furniture that reflect the coastal setting. In leu of a hotel restaurant, a small building next door houses a well-regarded restaurant (Jigger's) where you can walk across the parking lot to dine with locals and vacationers, take out to one of many wooden picnic tables, or bring back to the guest room's dining area. The fact that the restaurant offers breakfast through dinner means that relaxing after a long drive or day at the beach is an easy option.ALERT:You will be likely alarmed by the reviews and photos posted on Yelp, but keep in mind the age of these photos. These photos are largely depicting the motel's condition before the current owner purchased and renovated eighty percent of the rooms.TIPS:The reception desk closes at 8 PM, so expect a personal call in advance to learn when you anticipate arriving. The hotel staff will plan and accommodate accordingly. Nightly rates vary greatly with the seasons, with prices now congruent with other motels in the area. Second floor double rooms have balconies and sliding glass doors from which you can view the evergreens that line the property border and enjoy coastal air. There is no elevator to the second floor. There is a collection of shops and restaurants along the bay, just a short drive from motel, as well as scattered cafes and restaurants that you can "discover" along the non-commercial roads (or cheat and do a Yelp search!)Might be good idea to call ahead to confirm room type if you you did not book direct. Initially the receptionist had put aside a single room during my most recent stay, and I had reserved a more expensive double.
