I had a very poor experience. I have a sterling silver ring I've worn for over 20 years. It broke in two places and I had it repaired at Gold Lady. Just a few months later, it broke again in one place. I brought it back to Charlie. I asked multiple times for a quote. He acted agitated and inconvenienced that I would ask. When he finally gave me the quote, it was the same as the first time. I calmly asked if he might be willing to repair it for less since it was just broken in one place rather than two and since the first repair didn't hold. Needless to say, Charlie raised his voice saying "Why in the world would I lower my prices?" and then proceeded with a litany of angry words. So, I simply asked for my ring back and went somewhere else where I had a much better experience. I'm sure Charlie will respond to this post with a caustic reply just as he to other one-star posts. However, I thought it helpful to share my experience and warn others. No customer deserves to be yelled at if they are being gracious and calm. Repairs should last more than a few months and businesses should stand behind their work.

Charlie did a fantastic job on my ring that my mother gave to me. He made my 40 year old ring look brand new! It also fit my finger perfectly. I highly recommend going to Gold Lady Jewelers!!!

Last week I was visiting family and the prongs of my ring were bent. I wanted it fixed before I left and called to see if it would be able to be fixed in time. I spoke with the owner (Charlie) who told me to come in so he could look at it. He would have to see it in person to know the timeframe for repairs. I came in and was amazed. Charlie himself fixed it right then and there!! I couldn't believe it! He even took the time to clean it and my ring looks even better than the day I got it. The customer service was excellent! I never felt rushed and Charlie took the time to chat and made my mother and me feel so welcome. I highly recommend Gold Lady Jewelers. They are truly a hidden gem in Rhode Island!

Charlie is simply the best. I as well as many members of my extended family have purchased many items over the past 30 years from the Gold Lady. The quality and service that we have received is top notch, from new purchases and repairs(I am a little rough on my jewelry!) to remounting “old” jewelry into updated and stunning new settings, I have always left with a smile on my face. There is no other jewelry store that I would purchase from, I highly recommend The Gold Lady.

I came in today I called ahead of time asking if they could take a look at my ring and test it because I didn't know what metal it was they said they would and when I got there they won't even test itThis review was taken down somehow this was from a week ago if it is taken down again I will be reporting to the bureau a better BusinessYou never fully told me what it was I asked you if you could please test it and you refused then rudely walked away from me I tried to say something to you further and you would not say a single word to me maybe you should show the whole surveillance video and show the whole truth or are you too afraid to show the truth to your customers. The proper response from a professional businessman would have been could you please wait a few minutes while I take care of this customer then I will come over and help you you did neither of those what you did was very poor professionalism on your part sir I try to explain to you that I'm a metal detectorist I'm looking for someone that I can bring jewelry to as well and you wouldn't even listen to me like if I was not worth your time I ended up having that actually tested and it turns out to be 14 karat white gold you lost my business and I hope you lose many many more customers the way you treat people

I wanted to get the battery in my dress watch replaced and asked why it only lasted a year from the last time they replaced it. The owner proceeded to be verbally abusive saying what did I expect and started swearing at me telling me he didn't want to replace my battery and to get out of his store. All I did was ask why the battery he put in a year ago didn't last very long especially when I just wear it on special occasions and I turn it off by pulling up the stem when not in use. Very unprofessional j**** I will never go there again and would advise my friends as well as others bot to do business with that miserable person.
