The Attwater was an amazing hotel in Newport and I will surely return to this hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast is served every morning (and is delicious), amazing fresh chocolate chip cookies are available at night, and the location is so close to everything! And to top it off, Peter was so phenomenal and hospitable. He made sure our stay was wonderful and provided great recommendations and conversation. Thank you Peter and Attwater for an amazing first trip to Newport!

A perfect getaway with friends. The Attwater is beautiful, spotlessly clean, and walkable to everything you’d want to see and do in Newport. The staff is also wonderful - kind and attentive.
Rooms: Rooms and bright and beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean.
Walkability: Next to the art museum and very walkable to fantastic restaurants and shopping.
Food and drinks: Charming “tapas” type breakfast thoughtfully composed is included with room. There is also an assortment of yogurt, fruit, and granola. Coffee, tea, and water are available all day.
Noteworthy details: Fantastic value. Staff is very friendly, welcoming, and helpful.
I’m looking forward to exploring other Lark properties since we enjoyed the Attwater so much.

Spent 3 nights there! Breakfast there is some of the best I’ve had in a B&B. Owners are knowledgeable about restaurants and local things to do and are very kind. Walls in the rooms are on the thinner side so ymmv depending on your fellow guests. We didn’t have issues! Beds are super comfortable.

We spent three nights here and loved it. The daily breakfast alone is worthy of the five stars. It is healthy, wonderful variety, and very flavorful. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms and rooms were clean, and we loved drinking tea and hanging out in the different common spaces. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely love to visit again!
Nearby activities: Very close to downtown, right next to art Museum and a quick walk to the center of town.
Walkability: Easy to get anywhere downtown
Food and drinks: The breakfasts were outstanding!
Noteworthy details: Very cozy little inn. Has a wonderful common space to lounge in and coffee and tea always available.

Just be aware, no elevator but very generous room size and lots of common areas to rest and relax!

The Attwater was very clean and the location was perfect for us but employee was very unprofessional accusing our room of a noise complaint which was not true and banging on our door at 11 PM, made me feel very uncomfortable so late at night.

The Attwater was great right the very beginning. Greeted kindly. It was very nice inside. This property is very well kept. Loved our room! The location was also perfect for our stay. 5 min walk from everything you need. Can’t say enough about this place. Looking forward to our next stay here!
Walkability: 5 min walk from Jo’s American Bistro. Great restaurant!

The hostess, Brandi, was exceptionally welcoming and ensuring that we had our best visit imaginable. The Attwater is beautifully well decored. The room was great. The location is perfectly central to all that Newport offers. We are very pleased with our choosing of The Attwater! Thank you!

Convenient to local restaurants, superb staff who knows all the best places. Handmade breakfast is really high quality.
