If you can find parking, it's a great way to spend a day walking up and down the shops. Find anything from antiques to tourist clothing. Lot's of little eats, coffee and trinkets.

Busy part of town with lots of stores and restaurants. Liked the older feeling of the place, almost felt like we were in London somewhere.

Nice street with lots of bars, restaurants, and shops right by the port. Worth taking a walk through and experiencing the atmosphere.

Cobbled shopping area in the centre of Newport near the port. Lots of shops and eating/drinking places. Largely aimed at tourists but classily done.

Easy spot if you're looking to window shop and/or eat. A good chunk of the businesses are between Memorial Blvd and Wellington Ave. Ocean Scenic Drive starts on Wellington so it's a good transition to another activity. Even though it's a small street, there is a lot of traffic passing through. I was surprised with the noise pollution and smoke from the cars passing through.

If you're on foot, you'll spend a lot of time along Thames. Bouchard and the Oyster house were excellent choices for meals, but be sure you book Bouchard in advance. It's dressy. The menu is unique (but not one where you can't find anything you'll like) and the food and service are impeccable. The souffle there is almost enough to justify a trip to Newport.

We spent much time on Thames street. Such neat shops, cobblestone street, lots of restaurants. Just so quaint. Highly recommend.

Walking up and down Thames Street during our 3 day stay in Newport was very enjoyable. Lots of people, coffee shops, restaurants, and retail shops....not to mention easy access to several wharfs and gorgeous boats. The character of the Thames Street neighborhood is lovely!

Showed up for class and the yoga studio was no where near where it is posted on Google maps. Checked the website and you have to scroll all the way down to see that they have moved. They should put that at the top of the website so it's the first thing you see. Anyways, missed the class since it was another 12 minute drive to the actual location. Poor management of their online presence will certainly lead to more customers being unhappy.

We scheduled a morning private Bridal Yoga session for our friend’s bachelorette party in Narragansett. The owner had confirmed very quickly and the date was set a couple months in advance, I even confirmed the week before the event.
