Was in Newport mid June with friends. Booked a midday sailing cruise on the Eleanor. The crew was excellent and very knowledgeable. The cruise was a relaxing smooth sailing experience. Will be making it an annual adventure.

Truly a great experience. It was a foggy evening and we feared we wouldn’t have much to see. Despite this, the crew were delightful, sharing stories and going “fog hunting” for some beautiful ships and harbor sites. I’m so happy we decided to travers the fog with this delightful ship!

We did our rehearsal dinner after party here and it was great. My wedding party is not from New England and they all flew in for our big day. We really wanted to take them on on a sail with Sailing Excursions because we’ve been on sails with them and had so much fun. We went on a sunset sail in June and sipped champagne with our family and friends as we sailed around the harbor at sunset. It did unfortunately get very chilly once the sun went down, but they were so prepared and had blankets for everyone. July is definitely warmer to go at sunset, from my experience but I recommend this to anyone who is looking for something fun and unique to do after the rehearsal dinner is done.

Very enjoyable time! The staff definitely work well together -- very smooth ride. They were very aware of safety for the guests. It's so interesting to watch them hoist , lower and maneuver the sails! I got beautiful pictures of the lighthouse, a house on an island, the mansion Jackie O grew up in and Fort Adam. Fun for all ages! They also serve drinks on board.

Sailed on Sloop Eleanor yesterday on a beautiful day in August. We got the last 3 spots out of 20 for the hour and a half cruise. The captain was knowledgeable about many of the sites in the Bay. He was also funny with a dry sense of humor. Beer, wine and rum drinks were served at a reasonable price, along with non-alcoholic beverages. The ship was very steady, and they had a bathroom below deck. A great experience for all ages.

We come to Newport at least 2 times a season. We sail every time and love it. This time it was pathetic. The captain I thinkHis name was Mark was by far the worst ever! Not personable at all my grandson tried talking to him and he gave very short nasty answers. It was terrible! Better off taking the Madeline the captain we had there made the entire trip so enjoyable!!!You can see the staff in the pictures how they were not engaged at all!!! One is picking her nails and the other two had nasty faces on

10/10 Sailing Experience, 0/10 Whale Watch ? I joked with my family that I thought they were taking me on a whale watch, so I was a wee bit disappointed. In all seriousness, this was my first sail ever and we had an amazing time. The mates were charming and accommodating, the captain seemed unflappable, and it was a great experience overall. I'm also less than 5' tall, and not a light person, and I was nervous about climbing into and out of the boat, but they were helpful without making me feel embarrassed at all. A great day! ...despite a serious lack of whales.

Great experience and a great location. Located inside of Bowen Warf after you go on your excursion you can pop into some shops or restaurants!
