Awesome trees especially in summer. My dog loves all the squirrels.

Lovely place to walk in quiet contemplation and escape the hustle and bustle. It appears to only be accessible easily along the street side in front of the park. It's perfect to learn some new tree identification skills as many of the trees are tagged and identified. It's dog friendly, and there are multiple locations for free doggie bags, but they were all empty when I was there. So bring your own.
Playground: Open spaces for play but no structures specifically
Toilets: No
Dog-friendliness: Yes on a leash
Picnic area: I didn't see any picnic tables, but there are seats or bring a blanket.

Great park with some exotic trees, many marked with small ID plaques. Dont like the fact I got a ticket at 4:10 p.m. for violating resident parking when in fact there are only 3 houses opposite, all of which have huge driveways. No parking between 9 a.m to 6 p.m. and it's a PUBLIC park that closes at 6 p.m.!! Have to visit on a bike or walk. Not fair at all! Zero stars for Newport PD ticketeers. Oh and I was standing opposite from my car (only one there) speaking to an old pal on a bench, turned around as she placed a 50 dollar ticket under blade. Saw us there alone and never asked if it was my car!!
