On August 16th, my family and i made several purchases in this store. When we walked in there was an older woman with short hair sitting down in the display window talking on the phone, I assumed she was a customer waiting for someone else. I mean, she had her purse with her and was rifling through it. When we were leaving, we set off the security sensor at the entrance. The woman stood up and without even putting down her phone, or saying a word to us, she put her hand out like we were supposed to trust that she worked there. she dug through our bag and told us we had to go back into the other store to have the security tag removed. Never spoke to us other than to tell us to go somewhere else. Mind you, we were in the store for over 20 minutes and she was on her cell phone talking the entire time. Since there were two younger people working (maybe college), we thought that was it for workers. It was very off putting and made us feel like we did something wrong.

They keep deleting negative reviews.Staff is some of the rudest I have ever come across, will talk badly about their customers in from of you and fellow coworkers, especially the assistant manager. Do better.

I love this store!!! The salesperson said it is the largest Life is Good store. Hubby bought a really cute shirt. They do offer shirts that say Newport. Super big shout out to the staff. We chatted up 2 young ladies. They were sweet and funny. We actually stayed a little longer and looked around more because of them.

A timeless classic. It blends those vacation town shops you loved as a kid with modern times, like an online shop and brands we all want now. Staff and managers are friendly and remember you when you come back. idyllic and my favorite shop in Newport.

Big store with tons of 'Life Is Good' and other merch. My wife wanted a shirt (a St. Patrick's Day t-shirt), but they didn't have her size. However, a very helpful staff member helped her find an alternative that was actually on sale, which she bought! My only issue with the store is that it is a bit dark inside. Definitely recommend for wide selection of 'Life Is Good' designs and the helpful staff!

My wife and I take 2-4 trips to Newport a year and Life Is Good is always one of our first stops. We love the product (especially for our dog Uncle Fester) and the staff is a big reason why we keep coming back. Marty is always there to greet us with a big smile and fantastic recommendations.

The manager/owner is a miserable sod at this place. On multiple occasions, I’ve personally been treated poorly, have had friends treated poorly, and have seen customers treated poorly. The staff can be nice but he clearly does not want to deal with customers and his miserableness permeates the store. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard people say they will never return to this store. If you can’t handle retail, get a new job. To visitors: Newport has a lot of small businesses owned by locals who are enthusiastic about their products and truly interested in their customers. Give your business to these people who appreciate you and your business.
