We began our search for a bigger boat a few years ago. We had the good fortune to meet and chose Matt Leduc as our buyer's broker at the very beginning of our search. He really worked hard for us frequently sending us listings, connecting in person, by phone, text and email, and showing us many many boats. He listened to what we thought of each one helping us narrow our search down to the make, model and size of boat that would be best for us. This past spring because of all the hard work we felt confident and ready to finally move forward on purchasing a boat. He gave us all the tools, data and information we needed and worked closely with us every step of the way to successfully purchase our 2009 Back Cove 33'. He also checked in with us regularly as we cruised her up from Glen Cove, NY to Woolwich, ME after the purchase. We couldn't be more pleased. He was a pleasure to work with and we highly recommend Matt! Thank you for all your hard work, Matt!!

I can’t imagine a better broker to represent our interests in the purchase or sale of a vessel. We met Matt 7 years ago and he spent time with us and patiently showed us boats on an off until we got serious this year. After an exhaustive search, he coached us through the purchase of the perfect sailboat. Excellent advice, response, negotiation skills, and knowledge while at the same time he’s a really cool guy.

Thanks to Kristin Walcott-Matthews, I am the new owner of a Nonsuch 30. She found exactly the downsize vessel I was looking for, and really followed up, patient with delays, coming along for the late-season sea trial, even getting me launch service after the seller's yard technically closed. I had some new questions before this year's launch, and she continued to help reaching out to the seller: service above and beyond, in many big & little ways.

Matt is a reliable, honest broker and a great person to work with. Matt helped me search for a boat for over three years and he never gave up. I had one boat that I wanted, and we could not find the right boat. Matt encouraged me to broaden my search and to go to a boat show to look at alternatives. I ended up buying a boat, and although Matt assisted with the purchase, I don't think he benefited financially. I was concerned about that and tried to compensate Matt, but he told me not to worry because he was sure that I would use him to sell the boat someday. Not too many people would hang in there that long and help a person buy a boat that they didn't get paid for. Matt has continued to follow up with me and give me feedback and suggestions. He has always been available by phone and responds quickly to emails. I would highly recommend Matt to anyone interested in purchasing a boat. He is 100% committed and has a ton of experience.

We were about to give up on our search but then saw a listing from Latitude. We contacted Willie Lynch immediately and we explained that we were looking for this make and configuration for just over 2 years, and 'this one really had alot of promise'. He gave us an honest description of the condition, and provided us with a video tour within a couple days of our first conversation. He had alot of patience with us as we asked for quite a few closeups and further investigation into anything we wanted to see during the video tour. We really felt comfortable with Willie's approach and demeanour as a knowledgeable broker and outstanding facilitator. Willie walked us through the process as his recommendation was to negotiate a conditional offer first as we were out of country and would not be able to come to visit for about 2 weeks. He was very matter-of-fact and we did not feel at any time, we were under any pressure. He was open to facilitating any questions that we had as we figured out how we wanted to proceed, and was very timely on his responses. Once we felt we had enough insight and information, we came to a conditional offer that he facilitated to acceptance. We arranged a visit to carry out our own inspection (as that was our first condition) and Willie was very accommodating to our schedule (being out of country), helpful to take us through the entire boat, and up-front with answering our questions and explaining the nuances of this particular sailboat based on our inspection observations. Again during our inspection, we were never felt under any pressure, and I didn't feel that there was any overstatement or understatement of the condition, equipment, etc. Simply up-front and factual, and if he wasn't sure, he'd say so and find out! He helped us to make all the arrangements for survey and sea-trial coordinating between our hired surveyor, the owner and the yard and facilitated fair date adjustments to our purchase agreement based on availability of all.Closing was a logistical dance, between international financial transactions, arrangement to visit again (for the 3rd time), arranging truck transportation, booking a slip (as it was on a mooring ball) at a marina that could accommodate both the haulout and loading on the truck transport that we had arranged. Willie helped in all regards with ensuring everything was set up for us. He dropped us off at the docks, even making arrangements for the (former) owner to give us an overview before we headed for the 1.5hr sail to the marina. Everything worked out very smoothly including de-registration and registration in our Country and home port (which Willie also helped to facilitate leveraging his extensive network of COMPETENT contacts).There were a number of times where the logistics, timing, communications, coordination and confirmation just had to work in lock step, to avoid any stress, gong-show situations, or costly missteps, and my wife and I both agree (this being our 4th boat purchase), that Willie Lynch is a UNICORN in this industry!

Matt did an outstanding job helping my wife and I accomplish our recent new boat purchase. He continues to provide valued support during the winter haul out process and as survey-recommended repair/replacement work occur during the on-going winter season. Since I live in the Philadelphia, PA area, this kind of added service/value from a broker who doesn't walk away from the buyer once the sale is completed is priceless and indicative of the quality and character of the broker! I look forward to maintaining a professional and friendly relationship with him as I prepare Doc's Dream for delivery in the spring of 2024 to her new home on the eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay. I will likewise hopefully also now have a valued comrade to look up whenever my new vessel, capable of summer cruising up the coast to the Newport, RI area, permits reengaging with Matt and his other professional and social colleagues as new and long-lasting seafaring friends!

Scott was incredibly helpful in selling our racing yacht.Having captained and raced sailboats extensively himself, he knew exactly what a buyer would be looking for in a high performance race boat.He suggested that get a pre-sale survey done. This was key in knowing in advance if there would be any issues that might come up. It turned out to be a winning strategy!The buyer knew exactly what he was getting and we were able to get an above market sale price for her.

We worked with Ryan Miller at the Brokerage. This was a very, very positive experience from start to the finish line. Ryan is incredibly organized, even tempered, forthright, and analytical about the process, but he practices sensitivity throughout. Understands both the tangible and intangible issues. Would hire the Brokerage again without reservation.

I had an incredible experience working with Tim Norton at LYB. I've worked with several brokers in the past but Tim went above and beyond from our first meeting. Showing up with a cooler of ice cold waters on a hot day was a nice touch. He was kind and courteous to my 2 boys who were with me on the first showing. He helped us in too many ways to list but I can't recommend him enough. Smoothest transaction we could imagine. The sea trial a wonderful experience for everyone involved.
