Stopped by to view the hotel for upcoming event and had very nice staff and restaurant with nice cafe for breakfast along with mini game room along with billiards table and more to do. Indoor pool, outdoor pool, spa and more! Next to marina, pretty views.

A great location! We went for sunset cocktails & noshes...we'll definitely be back..the jury is still out on the new owners/ management..we chose to stay elsewhere...to be continued....
Nearby activities: Close to town for eating,biking, shopping..
Walkability: nice walk into town especially in good weather!
Food and drinks: Were average at the outside area..we sat at one of the ? pits..hoping over time they will elevate..

We ate outside overlooking the bay and bridge, it was beautiful. Food was ok. It took for ever for it to arrive. Service workers are slow and not attentive to details. Leaving drink glasses and dirty dishes etc. many better places in town with beautiful views

Wrong room. Dishonesty. Neglect.
An inferior room than advertised, booked, and paid for, was initially provided. The concierge even claimed that the wrong room was right. The cleaning staff and direct observation contradicted the assertion. The correct substitute room was ultimately provided. However, only after repeatedly requesting it from different concierge representatives; neither of which was aware of the other’s alleged note of the promise; neither of which phone called, as promised, to make the change. Otherwise, largely a good place.

We have been loyal guests at your Montauk location for several years, so we were pleasantly surprised to find the same level of excellence at your Newport location. The check-in process was seamless, the staff were friendly and attentive, the location was stunning, and the grounds were well-maintained with plenty of spaces to relax without feeling overcrowded during peak season. The pool water temperature was even adjusted to suit the current weather conditions. To be entirely truthful, we couldn't think of a single thing that could be improved upon. This review is completely unsolicited.
Food and drinks: Torpedo restaurant exceeded our expectations with every dish we tried. The Little Gems salad, tuna taco, lobster sliders, and salmon crudo were all impeccably fresh and bursting with flavor. Each bite was a culinary delight that left us thoroughly impressed.

Unfortunately our experience at Newport Harbor Island left a lot to be desired. We spent large amount of money for two nights in a King room and it was not a great experience.
First of all, our room wasnt stocked with the basics - soap, enough shampoo/ conditioners enough towels, room service menu, etc. We kept having to call down to get these basic items which we should've been stocked in the room prior to our arrival.
Secondly, we had a HORRIFYING experience with the shower which was clogged upon our arrival. A maintenance person came to snake it and it sounded so gross when he was fixing it and they left hair from the drain in the shower afterwards. It was so incredibly disgusting! I cringe when I think about it. They really should've offered us a different room at this point.
The front desk staff was very nice. However, we were promised prosecco for our room because it was our minimoon and it never came! So disappointing, they should've never mentioned they were going to send it if they weren't going to follow through.
The in room dining menu is limited, but the breakfast was tasty and delivered quickly. Hence the two stars.
Regardless, we do not recommend and will not stay here again.

worst hotel I have ever stayed at charged an extra $100 a night on your credit card get it back when you leave but takes up to 5 business days before it is put back on your card and the bar don't get me started you can only have 2 drinks and they shut u off The idea of going to stay overnight is to have some drinks not worry about drinking and driving managers walking around telling yo-yo can't do this you can't do that very uncomfortable

Thi is now the Harbor Beach Island Resort on GOAT Island.. the rooms need a bit of a refresh. The staff was great. The food was good, but not great. Still a fun place in Newport for a little getaway

Put simply, this hotel was not worth the price. We paid $3K for two nights in a bi-level suite. There was a regular bed upstairs and a sofa bed downstairs which was so incredibly uncomfortable and as bad if not worse than the name "sofa bed" sounds. The rooms in the hotel were largely out of date. The outdoor area was beautiful but the interior left much to be desired. Further, when we arrived we could not get a bell hop or anyone to help us. The only individuals who spoke to us were representatives standing outside from some car company. It was only after waiting inside for awhile that the front desk was finally able to assist; however we arrived a bit early, maybe by 30min-1hour so our room was not available. They are supposed to guarantee a room being available by 4pm, I believe, but we waited past this time in the lobby.
