Frank fit me in for a blowout before a wedding, and I am so grateful. The shop is adorable and I really enjoyed chatting with Frank as he styled my hair. I received so many compliments on my hair at the wedding and I love the pictures from the day. Thank you!

First off I would like to say if it was possible to give zero stars I would. This appointment was booked a month in advance, I was a guest at a local wedding. I was told my appointment was with a stylist named Sam who is awesome, was able to do both updos and make up . When I arrived I waited well past the time of my appointment and a young woman approached me and said I was now her client. I arrived with wet hair so they could blow dry me in preparation for the style. This young woman whose name I did not catch did not know how to blow dry hair properly, I actually took the brush and dryer and completed the job myself. With no pictures to choose from for my hairstyle I pulled something up on my phone and the young woman clearly was not confident she could do it and asked Sam who my appointment was supposed to be originally with to do it. He was in the middle of highlights. The one pretty much walked away and left me in the chair and I had ask Sam if anyone was going to help me. when he saw the picture of the style I wanted on my phone it became very clear very fast he did not know how to match the picture. I sort of went with the flow and told him let's get the hair up and make it look classy at minimum. I could not believe his inability to style my hair with small pieces sticking out of the sides and bottoms, it was completely uneven and simply disheveled looking. We moved on to our make up session or Sam continue to complain if he knew he was having make up today he would've brought his own products in but he doesn't have them, as a reminder I booked this appointment a month in advance. He was on able to glue false eyelashes on correctly I essentially had to show him how to use a Q-tip for dental application as every time he press down on my eyeball with acidic glue the other side of the last word pop up. And frankly the make up job over always pour the eyelashes took so long at one point I told him to just simply do my eyeshadow and nothing else and even that didn't look like the smoky I had requested. Towards the end of the appointment as I understand everybody comes from different educational backgrounds in the style industry I still was leaving gratuity and Sam felt the need to insult me, push the $20 back towards me and say no you seem to need the money more than I do. So in summation well I can't speak to cut and coloring for your styling and make up needs I would stay far away from the salon.

I would leave zero stars as well. The customer service is horrible (they got my name wrong despite calling 3 times to confirm); they started 1.5 hours late (so I was very late for my appointment); and I turned out looking horrible (my poor mother said she didn't recognize me). To top it all off they added $20 to my bill (still don't know why!) and because I was so late I paid & left. When I called to follow up about my horrible experience they did absolutely nothing, NOTHING. No apologies, no reimbursement, NOTHING. It was worst experience ever and is a salon I would pay you not to go to. For people who claim to be in the service industry, their service is extremely lacking. I wish someone had told me beforehand not to go! Now I'm out $200 and had a horrible night destroyed entirely by them.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. This rating is not for their styling services but for how the business is run and how customers are treated. I booked an appointment 2 weeks in advance after talking to the receptionist. She explained the 2 levels of service, the master stylist being out of budget. So I made an appointment with Julie and was told a cut/color would be $115 - slightly higher than I usually paid, but I wanted someone good - so ok. I arrive and receive a not so cordial greeting. I state my name and my appointment time with Julie. She tells me I cannot see Julie and would have to see another stylist. That put me off from the beginning as the appt. was made 2 weeks in advance and the courtesy of a phone call would have been appropriate. After considering the substitute, I was assured that he had 25 years experience, etc. I deduced that this meant "master stylist" and said, I could not book with "master stylist" pricing and needed to stay with the $115. She went away to talk to the stylist. She came back and said that I was misquoted on price. That prices are never given on the phone (well one of their employees did!) and the start point is $130. So it was take it or leave it. A proper business would have honored the price quoted. I left; what a complete waste of my time and gas to drive there! I was treated like my appointment was a major inconvenience to them and the attitude was, though not spoken, if you have to ask the price, you don't belong here. Never, ever again. A fool and his money are easily parted - not this girl.

Frank and his team were wonderful! From securing the date for hair/makeup artists for my wedding, keeping in touch with Marie via email and phone, to the day of the wedding, things were pretty seamless. My bridesmaids looked beautiful! They listened and worked with what we wanted, added more here and there, tweaked as we went, and everyone was very happy with what they had done. We had a lot of fun with them. Not being from Newport, I was worried that I was taking a chance, but it paid off and I would recommend them to others! Thank you!

Amazing ! Not only was the staff welcoming, they knew exactly what to do with my hair! I left my previous hair dresser of 11 years to switch to this buisness! Highly recommend!

Went to Newport for my niece's wedding a couple of weeks ago. Had an appointment (booked weeks in advance) for a blowout with Monique and makeup with Julie. When I got to the salon that morning Monique was "missing in action", so I waited 20 minutes for Paul to pinch hit. Paul did a nice job on my hair, but he was so overbooked that it forced me to wait again (45 minutes) while he worked on another client before he styled my hair..Julie did my makeup, and it was waaaaay BELOW par. I couldn't get back to my hotel room fast enough to redo it "myself"...I spent a total of 3 HOURS in this salon that day, for services that should have only taken 1.75 hours at most. Overall, I was so disappointed with the quality of service and professionalism at Frank Antonio Salon. In hindsight, I should have asked for a refund.

Stood me up for a blow dry. I called and made an appointment. Then when I showed up they said the person who was supposed to do my blow dry was not in that day !! Terrible customer service
