I was threatened by the woman on the phone to have my appointment cancelled because I called twice in one day, to let them know that I wished to change the type of service I needed, and then to push back my appt 3 hours because a personal conflict arose.
I called out of respect for their time and scheduling needs, rather than showing up late with a different request than I had initially asked for.
I’ve never been threatened like that over the phone when speaking with someone who works directly in customer service. Disappointed because I used to love this place

Went to the location on Thames Street for my cousin’s bachelorette. We booked gel manicures but I had blue dip from a previous nail appointment. I expected them to take off the dip completely and do gel on my real nails but they just buffed off the blue gel until it was clear dip and then they did a pink dip over it, which was originally fine with me. When the nails were done, blue dip from my previous manicure could be seen through the pink dip and underneath my nails. I’m not sure if this is normal because I have only gotten my nails done a handful of times. On top of that, the pink dip was contaminated and there are little spots of other dip colors mixed with the pink dip. Pics are kind of blurry and don’t really do it justice. Another girl in the bridal party was also unhappy with her nails because many spots were missed and the polish was see through. I feel terrible for leaving a bad review because the women were all super nice but we just didn’t really like the outcome.

My daughter got a pedicure and the person doing her nails, barely scrubbed her foot and not to mention that the nail polish looks like it was applied by a two-year-old who was blindfolded. Polish was Smudged all over the place and not an even coat on any of the toenails. Awful! I would never recommend. The $35 pedicure was what enticed us but you obviously get what you pay for.

I try not to give bad reviews to businesses. Especially small businesses. So I'll start with the positive. The people there are very friendly and it seems a lot of regulars come in. I finally talked my husband into getting a mani pedi (it was very hard ladies) so I was a bit disappointed that his first experience was on Thames Street in Newport (surprised? Me too!). The pedicure chairs are very old, they have puddy holding some of the jets in (gross). They also reuse the foot scrubbers and brushes (gag). They don't put plastic inserts into the foot baths either. Which feels like an infection waiting to happen. I thought about leaving but stayed for reasons I don't understand yet. Too nice maybe? Anywho, skip this place until it gets some updates. Sorry for the poor review.

Tourists visiting Newport and were staying on the same street as the nail shop. Called to make an appointment same day and got in right away. Excellent customer service.

One of the worst manicures in life. I'm not sure where the girls get their training , but it's not in beauty school. Barely took off any cuticles, very very poor job. Place is dirty , I hope they sanitize the equipment . Will not come back and don't recommend anyone to go there, ! TV super loud, bad enough you're dealing with horrible manicure and in addition you got loud TV. Very stressful . YES I did go to the right location on 468 !

We got two manicures pedicures for homecoming. Make sure on call you specifically say you want tips or extensions on your nails because I didn't and than they refused to do them on my daughter.

Had a terrible experience at T Nails. I called several months in advance to book an appointment for my wedding party. They said they would have enough staff members for my 13 girls in the 3 hour window we had before our rehearsal dinner. When we arrived there were only 3 nail techs. 3! No way 13 women are getting nails done.. most of us planning to get both manicures and pedicures. I couldn’t believe it. I asked why there weren’t more staff members and they repeated that we would all get done in time and don’t worry, they “weren’t taking in any walk ins”. It was such a stressful situation for me. My soon to be mother in law and three of my friends were unable to get their nails done at all and several other friends were rushed with only a nail color change. It was a disaster and so unnecessary since I called and spoke to them several times before the date. Bad way to run a business. Wouldn’t return. Worse experience to have the day before my wedding after waiting an extra year for it. I wasn’t even totally happy with my manicure and felt stressed and upset the whole time worrying about the rest of my girls.Update: they responded that I went to the wrong place. I did not.

Overall it was a bad experience. The 3 light pink polish options I liked were all thick. The one I picked they thinned out. It never dried right and 2 days in my nails looked terrible and we’re still getting worse since it was still not fully dry. The worst was the sanitary issues. I left fully grossed out between no pedicure tub liners, shared files and this wooden toe scrub brush that looked dirty.

Anastasia gave me the best mani/pedi I have ever had. She is a perfectionist and I could not be happier with her work! My daughter and I loved the shop and the prices. Was a great experience!Services: Pedicure
