Do not miss out on staying at one of the best boutique hotels in the North East⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
The service is outstanding, the staff goes above and beyond all day long. The rooms are immaculate and very well appointed. The bar and breakfast do not disappoint and the location is perfect!
I will be going back in early Spring and I cannot wait ?

I really loved our stay here. The bed, linens, robes, cookies, heated bathroom floor, heated saltwater pool, and proximity to everything were more than I could have imagined. A delightful stay. We will be back.

Break Hotel
1) Kids in pool with loads of sunscreen on & pool became oily & cloudy
2) Mouse swimming in pool
3) Iron broken
4) Given wrong room check at the restaurant
5) Handle bars on several bikes were sticky
6) Shower soap holder broken
7) One of the shower heads did not work
8) AC didn’t work well. Took a long time to get cool
9) Table top ironing board really needs to be a full size
10) Ironing board broke
11) Water temperature in bathroom is way over legal limit of 130 degrees (scalding)
12) Trash cans are the size of an ice bucket (need a regular size small trash can)
13) When trash bags are put in the ice bucket size trash can they balloon up & trash won’t go in
14) Both automatic door openers for handicap were not working at the front entrance
15) Breakfast was not ready when we came down
16) Once seated we were ignored, never even got our coffee but the server made sure they put the check right in-between both of our empty coffee cups to get their tip
17) Table did not have spoons
18) Even though we were the first ones at breakfast, two other tables that came in after us were served coffee. We never had ours until finally before we were ready to leave & the server put the check in-between the two empty cups we had to ask a third time for coffee
19) The slider door got stuck closed in our room
20) The homemade cookies are a great touch but are gone in 10 minutes
21) We requested a charcuterie board, but to please put less meats and more cheese. We received it the same as always. They ignored our request. They had 4 different types of cheeses. One of them was a white & green swirl, so I am not talking about that. Mold was growing on one of the other white cheeses they had. No it wasn’t blue cheese either. Tasted like a parmesan but with white fuzzy mold tinged with green. But only on 2 of the cubes the rest were okay.
22) At breakfast there was no creamer or butter. Then they came out and gave us butter and apologized that it was frozen
23) Another patron at breakfast told the server the food was cold. The server checked the heating element and it wasn’t even on
24) The coffee in the rooms was subpar
25) The first night we arrived the restaurant upstairs was closed due to a function. We were counting on the convivence of not having to go anywhere. Now we had to try to find reservations at another restaurant on a Fri. night. Not convenient at all! :(
NOTE: The first time we went last year 2023, it was nice & just a few minor issues but we loved it. The hotel ambience is still stunning and beautiful, but that is as far as it goes. This time was horrifying!!! Our friends told us it was a romantic adult getaway. It is defiantly not. I see in several of the other low reviews just a year ago, the manager says, thank you for your feedback, we will try to do better. They did NOT get better. I think at this point the owner needs to get involved. We won’t be coming back. I would say the Break Hotel Is Broken! But I highly suggest The Hotel Maria down the street in Westerly RI (“Amazing Place”) Huge beach right in front of the property. Plenty of sand & waves.

Im so sad the downturn of this hotel as we have been staying here for 10 years. It’s a cute little hotel with great amenities but this trip was horrific. From the room, ambience, cleanliness, amenities closed, noise, rude staff etc.
First we had to completely change our plans as they messed up our reservation. they failed to honor the reservation made & thankfully the convo was recorded/time stamped. Their staff messed up. So we shifted our stay dates for their error. We were to stay a 3rd night on them for the error. But they charged us for the third night so it was a hoax.
We arrived & the room they had for us was incorrect. Fine. But after night one we started to let the staff know of the excessive noise above us as well as a malfunctioning utility closet that kept us up all night. They ignored the issues. And no one was ever available at the desk to help!
When I finally spoke with the manager, Kathryn, she was rude implying that it was ok as a family friendly hotel. Yeah… that’s not the issue. We bring our kids here all the time. The issue was the loud music and banging & partying through the late hours that they dismissed & didn’t address. She was rude, dismissive and judgmental.
Finally one of the perks of this hotel is the amenities. The rooftop restaurant / bar. This was closed & was NOT disclosed on the website or when booking, so false advertising. Who closes their main amenities in prime August & doesn’t disclose it!? And still pay premium rates.
We have stayed here dozens of times, supported even during Covid. Can’t believe how bad management is now and the quality of our stay. From their booking error to the lack of sleep from the excessive noise that they dismissed truly ruined our vacation. A time we planned for months. So upset.

We had one night to stay in Narragansett and were lucky the The Break Hotel had a room available. Everything about this hotel is lovely! The decor is beautiful, I loved the ‘retro’ modern touches. The location is great, our room had a balcony with an ocean view. The bed and bedding were amazingly comfortable. The pool area is so nice, beautifully landscaped. We were not able to visit the rooftop bar as it was closed for a private event ? but did enjoy the bistro bar. Breakfast is included and had lots of great options. I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. We wished we could have stayed longer and hope to visit again next summer.

Supposed to be 4 star. Not hardly. Rooftop lounge closed - no explanation. Pool closed tomorrow (for maintenance). Bar - no Dewars scotch. No Chivas Regal. Settled for Glenlivet. Wanted a Pina Colada - not happening (no frozen drinks - blender was broken). Room was clean and nicely appointed. Housekeeping apparently does not check the balconies- found two cigar butts on the balcony deck and what appeared to be a large red wine spill on the balcony side table. Restaurant - food was great! Service was sooooo slow. Wife and I were the only two in the restaurant and still took 15-20 mins between courses. This place is VERY expensive ($500 a night) and highly overrated.

Flawless hotel room start to finish. Easy walking distance to all types of local cuisine and the beach, beautiful large rooms with views of the ocean and so many high quality touches. My husband and I only needed a place to crash overnight on our way to Connecticut and never expected such luxurious treatment. Perfect for a couple's getaway. Delightful stylish bar and restaurant, and we appreciated the breakfast in the morning.
