We've had quite a few bad mover experiences but saw a tv ad for Gentry Moving and decided to give them a shot. Right from my first contact with Pam the sales manager, I knew we made the right choice. She was cheerful and answered all our questions and concerns. Communication whether by email or phone was great. Then the movers showed up. Friendly, courteous and respectful of our furniture and personal items. Handled everything with care, wrapped everything with moving blankets and never stopped loading. It was not an easy move; a basement apartment with a turn in the staircase and a low ceiling height. To my surprise, not one nick or damage on anything. They took apart some of the furniture and reassebled it at the new place. They tested the recliners to make sure they worked before leaving. Super happy with our choice and decision to use Gentry and would recommend them to friends and family.

Moved from RI to FL. looked at options for moving. Got really anxious when I looked at the reviews for long distance movers and freaked out. Way too many horror stories. A friend knew someone who had used Gentry and was very happy with the job they did. Called them up, and from that moment my stress was gone. Friendly, professional, funny. Every positive adjective applies to these movers. They unloaded everything today. From start to finish we cannot say enough about Gentry. Definitely recommend!!!!

I could not be more pleased with my experience with Gentry. We needed a pier wall bedroom set moved from one side of Elizabethton to the other. I used facebook messenger to ask whether they were experienced with unassembling such large, cumbersome furniture late in the evening expecting a reply some time during business hours the next day. I got an answer that evening from someone who obviously knew both their schedule and capabilities so I booked that evening. I received a text the day before confirming my appointment time as well. The three guys that showed up were about 10 minutes early and professional. They very quickly dissassembled the furniture and had it loaded into their truck. They even had the forethought to plug in the lights before setting the headboard in so it's ready to go. All in all, a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

Just the thoughts of having to move at times can build up any anxiety for sure but. The thoughts of having to shop for a moving company and trying to get the best deals can all ends today. Look no more Gentry Moving & Storage Company is the moving company you definitely must go with. From the first person you speak on the phone with and to last crew members that leaves your home. The professionalism the compassion and the knowledge I will recommend anyone Gentry Moving Company are the best..

Brian Crum is a lying degenerate thief. He stole 3000.00 dollars of stuff during my move. He overpacks boxes with paper and doubles estimate. Storage fees are outrageous. Stay away from this scumbag.

Movers didn't finish the job, left the first place they were moving without telling us and didn't move all the things, when they got to the destination my 71 year old mother was berated and verbally assaulted for not being on time after they didn't tell her they had left. We have to hire another company to finish the move. Completely unprofessional, will never use this sorry excuse for a company again.

Thanks to the professional caring staff at Gentry Moving & Storage I was worry free with my recent move from Boston MA to CT. They maneuvered every aspect in and out of Boston and my home with care & precision & I would highly recommend them to anyone moving anything...big or small. Even my kitties approved!

Ironically, I just got an answer from Christine from Gentry on a 3 year old claim!! I believe she is under the impression that my lovely mirror was repaired. It has not. In the middle of this claim, my 96 year old mother passed away. The Gentry rep called me while we were at the Hospice center. Never heard from them again until today. My mirror is still safely stored behind my sofa, unrepaired... No I do not recommend Gentry.

Gentry Moving is the most unethical, dishonest company that I've dealt with in my 30+ years on this earth. My wife and I had a straightforward residential home move. Gentry's movers: * caused significant damage to our house that almost ruined our home sale and cost over $1,300 to repair * openly acknowledged that I was being grossly overcharged for their services. I was being charged hourly and the movers would disappear for long periods and openly admit they like to take their time on nice weather days. * stole a valuable item (worth $200+) * broke several items that were packaged properly * failed to move a significant number of our belongings, causing us to need to make several trips ourselves to finish the move * left dirty fingerprints all over our new house and belongings, causing us to clean up for days after the move When I called Gentry to try and resolve these issues, they remarkably blamed me for not noticing the damage quickly enough (I noticed it they next morning). Gentry even made up a complete lie to try and claim I caused the damage myself. Gentry also disparaged their own movers and claimed they weren't responsible for their poor and unprofessional behavior. When I was getting nowhere with Gentry and told them I'd leave an honest review on Yelp, Gentry ignored me. Then on the next three days, Gentry left themselves THREE fake positive Yelp reviews from newly established Yelp accounts where the only review the account left was for Gentry. Thankfully, these fake reviews have been removed by Yelp. I would not trust a single positive review of this company. I am reporting Gentry to the Rhode Island Attorney General's Office and encourage others who have been taken advantage of by Gentry to do the same. It appears that several others have had items stolen and had their property damaged, with Gentry refusing to take any accountability.

Absolutely terrible service!!! They damaged our furniture and the house we were trying to sell and still charged us extra and yelled at us for their mistakes!!! No one should ever use them!!!

I have used Gentry 3 times in the last 2 years. I moved my primary residence in December 2016. In one day, 3 men and 1 truck we did a full house move (pack, move and unpack). We packed all of our stuff except for wall hangings... we just did not know how to protect them. Gentry to the rescue. It was a professional experience at a very reasonable price. Those men worked hard!! Our second experience was a small office move. Again, a top notch experience. The movers were efficient and respectful of our stuff and office spaces. Our third and most recent experience was a piano move. Again a professional experience at a reasonable price. With this much history and experience I would not use anyone else!!!

Beware! They will bait and switch you. I have moved all over New England and never had a problem until I used this company. They quoted one price and I had to write a check for over a thousand dollars after I arrived at my new home. For example They did not bring packing materials which I had to pay for and they underestimated the time it would take to move from one state to another. The most upsetting part of the move was although I clearly stated I needed them to unpack the boxes and take the packing materials away , they told me when I got to my new home they had to go home as my time was up and they could not finish the job. It was a horrible day.

These people are THIEVES. They stole so much from us. When they damaged just about everything we moved, their favorite phrase was "oh, that was there". I don't believe any of their reviews are legit. STAY AWAY!

They've moved me 3 times, including one time packing my things in a crate for shipping and each time their service exceeded expectations. Prompt, efficient, and genuinely nice people. Highly recommend!
