As a local small business owner, my experience with Staples Middletown has been outstanding. The store is always clean and organized, the printing and marketing team is top-notch, and they are wonderful to the community-at-large. Keep up the great work!

today I had a package to return to Amazon. A very friendly, helpful associate, Jean, assisted me. He greeted me kindly, and had a smile on his face throughout the exchange. I must note that a manager approached him about a personal matter while he was working with me, this was off-putting to me, and probably a little embarrassing for Jean. I felt that the matter could've been dealt with without a customer present.

Friendly staff. They usually have what you're looking for. Good for small & large businesses. They have coffees, paper goods & cleaning supplies.

I continue to be impressed with the staff of the print and marketing services, who are extremely helpful, knowledgeable and proficient. A special shout out to Jameel (sp?), who helped me immensely most recently.

This store is abusive and incompetent. They get really mad if you "find" something that is "hidden" in the store and several markdowns do not show and want to buy it. Personally, I feel like they didn't want the merchandise found so they could buy it when it went down even lower since the price is lower in the computer even if the markdowns don't show on the merchandise. They give incorrect information and it is an upsetting store. I hope they go out of business. They would get upset with taking coupons on markdowns or black friday. One time a cashier threw a box of kleenix at me when I said I could use a manufacturer's coupon with it after she denied me the use of them. . She felt since they were on clearance I couldn't. I should have called the police on her but didn't know better. Her then manager corrected her and I was allowed to use the coupons with them . Unfortunately, he soon left the store and the new manager was poisoned against me when they came. They sent my package to a wrong address and told me that was impossible. It was possible since I had sent packages to a person at 2 different address and they just pulled up the wrong one despite me handing them the address. They made me feel I was not suppose to buy black friday rebate or sales. I was made to feel it was because I only bought "bargains and sales"I was told on black friday that I could bring a coupon later and have it applied to what I bought since I did not have it with me.When I took the coupon in, I was then told I could not have the black friday price I had purchased them with. It was a percentage off the the total price. It did not say this on the coupon and at the time of purchase I was told I could apply it after the fact within so many days. Instead of applying it to the whole purchase which had been done before, he rang the order up again without the black friday prices since black friday was over. When I complained to corporate, it was a horror story with them. I was attacked by lies and a very cruel letter. As I said, the old manager at the time was wonderful but the employees weren't ( It felt like to me some didn't want me to buy certain bargains I would find in the store wanted for themselves)and when a new manager came they took care of me apparently with lies since I never did anything wrong.I was told I was by way of a letter not allowed back into the store and they weren't going to tell me why and didn't have to. It was signed by the corporate person I had spoken with. She said the lawyers wrote it but it was signed by her and there was no indication that it was not written by her.I hope they later fired that new manager because she was terrible.I really did enjoy finding bargains here. This helped me escape my problems. They didn't like people getting them though and I saw them intentionally ignoring the sale products I knew they knew about and show the more expensive item to a customer looking for the same. Once I showed a customer the cheaper item of the same right next to her that the cashier knew was there since we had just finished talking about. He had directed her to the area in the store where the more expensive ones were. He was angry with me for doing so.I was going through an unbelievably terrorizing and emotionally painful events in my life and this certainly did not help.I hope this store closes.

Usually I have a great experience here. Today I went in and the girl in the copy center ignored me. I went to the self service computer. It is very slow for 30 cents as minute. I pulled up my document and hit print. When I logged out, the printer held the rest of my job. The girl finally begrudgingly came over. She told me I had to log back in to make it finish. I did so and it disappeared. She told me I had to reprint it. I told her I had already paid and asked if I had to pay again. She told me I did and walked away. I checked my statement and there are two $5 charges in addition to the computer charges. I paid $53.38 for 35 copies. This is not acceptable at all. I will think twice before coming in again.

Asked for help from the girl in the copy center twice. For some reason I always have problems with all of the copiers there. She couldn't be bothered. She answered a few questions but refused to actually walk over and help me. I would have paid more to have her copy them but again she couldn't be bothered. I left and went to Office Max.
