“I’ve shopped at different NAPA auto parts stores, but the Middletown, RI store tops them all! I stopped in to pick-up a pair of wiper blades that I had researched online. The stores interior layout made them easy to find. When I checked out at the register I asked Dale, who rang up the sale, if he could double check the fit for my car. Without a second thought he did.
I’m a 73-year-old guy with a minor noticeable disability. When the sale was completed, Dale asked me if I would like him to put the new wiper blades on my car. In today’s world where people seem to forget good manners and are preoccupied within themselves rushing through their day, Dale’s goodwill gesture reminded me there are still good people in this world of turmoil who care about others. I accepted his generous offer.
The blades just snap on and were installed in less than a minute. I attempted to hand him a few bucks, but he refused to take it. After I insisted and would not take no for an answer, he reluctantly took the tip and said he would put it in the Wounded Warriors donation box.
He impressed me from the start, but his unselfish kindhearted character to pay it forward just elevated my respect for this man and made my day!
