“This place is perfect in every single aspect! The prices are very reasonable, they have amazing selections, and the service is amazing!!!!! Prices are great compared to even big stores like Lowe’s and Home Depot, and why wouldn’t you come support a small family business! Amazing selection from Annuals, perennials, herbs, landscaping, veggies, fruits, and indoors. I personally love the indoor houseplant section and visit it monthly to see the new selection and displays they have. They have such an amazing houseplant selection and it is huge. There is wayyyyy more of a houseplant selection than the photos i included. The workers here are always friendly and are very knowledgeable and have helped me so many times. I can’t speak enough on this place. Totally worth any drive!!”

“I had a great experience with Joe. I took my car to another guy that does dentless repair and he said that he couldn't do it. Joe took a look at it and was able to take care of three deaths that I had in my BMW M5. My baby is perfect again. Thanks Joe”

“I have used Doms Agway for several years. They are always reliable and pleasant to work with. I used them to install an irrigation system and annual koi pond management. They come when they say they will, and they complete their work well. One year my pond wasn’t holding water. They monitor the situation and resolved the problem even though it took several visits which they handled efficiently”

“Mello's Farm and Flower Center should be a part of your Rhode Island tourist trip, if solely because you'll want to explore all that the island, and this little state, have to offer.

There are a variety of ways that Mello's plays a role in strengthening Rhode Island as an agricultural center. The first is in its landscaping and farming products. You can get many different plants and planting products here. The Center looks to be in the middle of a bunch of planting fields, too.

There are also the various pieces of a patio that you can get at this place. Ranging from furniture to pots, Mello's sense of aesthetic is heavily represented in the physical products that are sold here.

But the thing that I went to Mello's for was the produce. Rhode Island has an ambitious food security goal in that it wants to source half of the state's food from within the state by (I believe) the year 2050. That's an ambitious goal, but we are all beginning to understand that fresher, local foods are better for our bodies and minds. So to Mello's I went, and was not disappointed in the variety of local Rhode Island produced foods, though it seemed that only half of the produce that was available was visibly marketed as "locally grown." This makes sense, because the Center seemed to be more of a market rather than a farm stand.

However, the yellow squash, zucchini, green beans, and sweet potatoes I bought were all locally grown and something I have a serious interest in. I checked out a few other items that were sold in the coolers and have decided that I need to come here again to improve my knowledge of all these wonderful Rhode Island foodie goodies.

The East Bay and Aquidneck Island are in the middle of a serious food movement. There are a lot of small, caring farmers and food producers in the area. If you are interested in making a day of it, I recommend checking out Hope and Main in Warren, then going over the Mount Hope Bridge to Portsmouth to Mello's. You won't be disappointed, but you will be satiated.”

“The best nursery for serious horticulturalists in eastern mass, and especially notable for native plants and straight species. If you want it, they have it or they can get it. Easy to navigate and welcoming to the general public even though it is more designed for wholesale and landscapers. As with any nursery, it’s important for buyers to pick the right plant for the right site, do adequate site prep, and consult professionals for advice (this includes the folks at the front desk who are more than happy to provide tips).”

“These guys are fantastic!

You're not going to find a more friendly or knowledgeable crew in the area. They'll have what you need, options to do it, and great prices too.
They're also huge supporters of the military folks in the area - thanks!”

“I had a smooth experience at Bulk L&G.When you don't even know what you DON'T KNOW, the best thing to do is talk to an expert. These guys are experts.I'll do just about anything to NOT go to a big franchise for parts / repair / advice. I'm finding it harder and harder to find associates that can string two sentences together, let alone have actual hands on experience and the kind of product knowledge required to make informed recommendations. These local shops just have more character.I needed a new bar and chain for my MS311 saw and was ignorant but curious about the chisel tooth chains benefits and possible drawbacks. My saw now rips, and the sharpening tool for the chisel tooth was a good recommendation. Thanks again. You guys are the wind beneath my wings, the cream in my coffee, and the apple of my eye.”

“Nice quiet outta the way place for lunch. Lots of choices avail. I had the chicken cordon bleu sandwich with assorted fruit, potato chips and an excellent oatmeal raisin cookie. Like taking a drive to the country, but not far away.”

“Home Depot's garden center is an absolute delight that never disappoints; from the herbs we love down to flowers to make our yard shine. The rest is a great value for the money, especially finding the clearance sections and hidden deals. We love the race car buggy's for our littles as well. Whether it's finding play sand for our daughter's birthday or sealant to fix the bulkhead, they consistently have everything we need. Moreover, their extensive range of paint colors ensures that we always find the perfect shade. A reliable go-to for all our DIY needs.”

“I went to the Middletown store yesterday with an idea what i wanted for my garage, and Ty saw that I was struggling and sat me down by the computer and stayed past his shift to ensure that I got what I wanted and that I was happy. I was impressed by his selfless attitude, and I was completely satisfied with the service he provided. Job well done!”

“Most things available from this home depot. Including a large outdoor landscaping and plant area. Plenty of soil pavers and even grass sod for the keen. Also, a nice discounted Timber section if you're looking for an off cut or two. I've saved quite a bit by giving it a browse. Staff are friendly and sometimes even helpful.”
