As a collector and dealer at 64 yrs old I can tell you I've seen many consignment shops in my day, I did Brimfield, Mass as a dealer for 5 yrs in a row , I recently consignment several item to " The find on 6 " . My only advice I can give to anyone who is considering consigning with " the find on 6 " "Do Not", you will be screwed. I consigned several very collectable antique items and thought I would be treated much differently, 1st of all you can not negotiate a price for your item and if you ask to speak to someone who has that authority your told no one is available even within the few hrs a day that they allow any consignment items to be dropped off, 2nd, you can not put a price or even negotiate a price for your item simply because no one will come out from the back room to talk to you,, 3rd of all , what these people do is research your item on eBay and then cut eBay s price in half and list for less than half it's value day 1 on their shelf , I also believe they hold back items on the shelf that they know friends and family are interested in until the second or third weeks for family or favorite patrons. I also thought what was very unprofessional is that when I went to pick up the check for the pennies the dollar they sold my item for , I had some 20 something year old female hand me a open check that they could not even put into an envelope, how unprofessional can you get. With this said I would give the find on 6 a minus 3 out of 5 stars, I will never return an I will forever spread the word. " NEVER CONSINGN ANYTHING WITH THE FIND ON RT 6 " please believe me I'm just trying to save someone else's from these PIRATES, I'm a local Johnston RI resident who resides on Centra ave,

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR ITEMS HERE WITHOUT KNOWING THAT THE FIND On 6 TAKES NO RESPONSIBILITY IF THEY ARE LOST OR STOLEN.
Very Disappointed with this business. Over last few months I left a few items there and received some monies (much less then expected) but recently I went in to retrieve items that they didn't accept. While at the store the young man at the counter said that 2 items of mine were about to expire. He said I could have them back if I wanted. He then told me that I have to locate them myself. I found this odd as it is a large store and how would I know where they placed the items. After looking I could not locate one item. The young man also looked, as well as his colleague. She too could not find my item. When I asked him what happens in this case he said "It is not our responsibility." In all honesty that response was unacceptable to me. I left my items with what appeared to be a legitimate business in good faith, that they would be respected and cared for. I then spoke to the owner, Adam, and he looked around as well. As I had other errands to attend to I said to Adam "Okay so you will call or let me know if you find it?" and he replied"No we dont do that" and also stated that he doesn't pay his people to look my items! Meanwhile he had 3 employees that I saw and only one other guest in the entire place. He easily could have assigned someone to do a full store search. We argued about his lack of professionalism and his final statement was "what is the big deal about a $10 bowl?" No apologies, no concern for my item, nor my future business. Whether a $500 item or a $5 item, that is absolutely not the point. People leave items there assuming they will be looked after and cared for and at no point does the staff there advise you that your items could be missing/stolen/sold under someone else and you lose out completely.
Lastly, my large vintage Chinese bowl was in perfect condition and it was worth more then $50. This owners dismissal of my issue was and devaluation of my lost item and future business really shines a light on what type of place this is.

I delt with the Find a few times. One time the merchandise I left was sold under another's account. They did rectified. So I was fine. However I recently had a few items I left there. Everytime I went in they stated only 1 item sold. I proceeded to tell them that I couldn't find on floor and hoped it wasn't sold on another account. The girl told me to come back and speak with Brelle for she would know where they would be. Well when I went in and asked for her she was beyond rude. Stating that, that wasn't her job to look for someone's merchandise. She pointed and told me where to look. My husband and I started searching. For the merchandise looked extremely sparse compared to what they use to have. We could not find them. I told her we looked but can't find. She stated that it was my responsibility to find them. Which is a total ridiculous practice. So if someone stole or if it was mistaking sold under someone else, HOW COULD A PERSON FIND! She said you'll have to look. I have had it with her disgusting attitude. So I stated I want to take them back, now what do I do? Well all of a sudden she seemed to know where they were!!!! I'd rather donate or even throw the items in the trash then deal with this attitude. While the girl at the desk across from her was making comments as well. I approached her and told her you know me. I've been here often and never made a issue out of anything. I caught your remarks and they were unwarranted and unprofessional. I WONT GO BACK. Being a designer I could never recommend this place. NOONE DESERVES TO BE TREATED AS A BOTHER AND THROWN SARCASTIC REMARKS. PLUS THE INVENTORY IS NOT WORTH THE TRIP TO ME. TO ME 1 STAR IS TOO HIGH FOR THEM!

Always a fun treasure hunt, you never know what you may find. Well organized, products clean and easy to see and evaluate. Found pair of antique snowshoes, reasonably priced and tag notates next sale date.
