It's unacceptable to schedule an appointment and not confirm that the patient's insurance is accepted. Especially, after your patient calls and ask you to confirm that the insurance is accepted. Perhaps confirm the insurance is accepted when you confirm the appointment. Please just do your job people.

I had a great experience getting prescription sunglasses here!! They have so many brands to choose from. Christine was patient and really great helping me with my choice. They came in fast and pick up was a breeze. Thank you so much OPTX!!!

They delivered damaged goods. A independent optometrist advised the hinges & bows are ruined. OTTX got them back 32 days ago and ignores communications. Worst experience ever. Pistes herewith.

I came in today to pick up a pair of sunglasses I won from an Instagram contest. I thought Id be walking in and they would hand me a pair. What a surprise when they took my name and told me someone would be with me. I was called shortly after I sat down and to my delight 3 boxes were brought out! I had my pick of any pair I wanted! Will be definitely changing eye drs-a far cry from the Lens crafters I go to know!

Unfortunately, despite once having a positive impression of this business when I purchased 2 pairs of glasses here several years ago, presently I would never allow anyone I know or remotely care about to come here for their eyes. Perhaps the doctors are good, but many potential customers would never know given the receptionist's contempt on the phone. I hope she stops trying to project her inferiority complex on patients to her employer's detriment. I was baffled, and rather amused, when she told me I wouldn't be called if an appointment became available - I was instructed to walk in to the office every single day, hoping that maybe I would have the honor of giving them my money and being seen by a doctor. I now understand the stigma this business has amongst many Johnston residents. If a higher-up here wants to keep their business afloat, I would highly recommend staff training on basic manners, and more importantly, office policies that benefit the patients. I was also told that since I missed appointments in July of 2018, I would have to pay a $45 penalty before a doctor would see me if I was lucky enough to get a walk-in appointment. This begs the question of whether I was informed of such a policy before making the appointment 4 years and 10 months ago. Otherwise, asking me for the fee is unlawful. To summarize, go elsewhere.

I have been going to optx for my eye care and glasses for many years! They offer top notch service and have a state of the art facility. I highly recommend both Dr. Diamante and Dr. Head. They are both very caring and and provide wonderful service.

If I could give less than 1 star it would be more appropriate. The office staff has the worst customer care and has no level of professionalism. My husband and I had an appointment today for which it was confirmed by the office and of course we were reminded that there would be a $45 fee for not giving a 24 hr notice for cancellation. We drove to the Johnston office---a 45 minute drive one way---and upon registering we were notified that the doctor was not in today and they apologized for not calling us to reschedule and they admitted that there was no notation of the office trying to contact us. This is a long trip for us with the expense of gas and taking time off from work for which I am not getting reimbursed I inquired about the $45 fee should be given to us since they expect us to pay if we cancel. The manager said it was not possible since he claims we were notified of the appointment, although the secretary said there was no note in their system. He blatantly lied to our face and only offered to reschedule. We will NEVER go back to this office. We had a few other issues with them in the past but we tried to be understanding but we are completely done with this office!!!!!

I visited the store in Johnston today to see if my prescription sunglasses could be adjusted. They were uncomfortable and out of alignment. The girl could not have been nicer.She agreed they needed help. She took them, and I waited as she did her magic. She returned with my glasses that looked new, and the fit was great. I was very grateful. The people at this store are always pleasant, professional and willing to help.

Was in a much needed upgrade of my sunglasses. Extremely pleased with the wide selection of designers and impressed with how many different styles they have! Love my new Channel sunglasses!! Staff was pleasant and helpful!!

Dr. Diamante and his staff exceeded all my expectations when I went in for a simple eye exam. I felt comfortable, relaxed, informed, and heard when expressing my concerns for my eye. The staff was very nice when examining my eyes and made a diagnosis quickly after my primary doctor dismissed my concern saying it was nothing. Dr. Diamante thoroughly explained the treatment plan and finally resolved my iritis. I have never had a better experience at any doctor’s office and will definitely be returning and recommending this office to all my friends and family.

Extremely satisfied with OPTX! Dr. Diamante is a top notch, exceptionally brilliant eye doctor; as much as he is patient, kind and genuine. He goes above and beyond with his care for the individual, never making my family or me feel like "just another patient". I was so surprised that he, personally, had contacted me with the results from my MRI (which was ordered from my endocrinologist) and explained how the pituitary can affect my vision (which I had no idea)!! I highly recommend scheduling an appt with him and his team!

Dr. Diamante is simply amazing! From the moment I walked into his office, I felt welcomed and comfortable. The receptionist was courteous and prompt in checking me in for my appointment, and the waiting room was clean and well-maintained.During my appointment, Dr. Diamante took the time to listen to my concerns and thoroughly examined my eyes. He explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, and his bedside manner was impeccable. I never felt rushed or like I was just a number.What really stood out to me was Dr. Diamante's attention to detail. He took the time to answer all of my questions, and he even recommended a few things that I could do at home to help improve my eye health. I truly felt like he cared about my overall well-being, and that he wasn't just there to make a quick buck.The customer service at Dr. Diamante's office is second to none. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they go out of their way to make sure that every patient is comfortable and well taken care of. From scheduling appointments to picking out frames, they are there to help every step of the way.In addition to the great service, Dr. Diamante's office also has a fantastic selection of frames and lenses. The optician was patient and helpful as I tried on various frames, and she made sure that I found a pair that not only looked great but also fit well and met my specific needs.Overall, I cannot recommend Dr. Diamante and his team enough. I was new in town so I called OPTX for a eye glass script. After my appt. I received hospital check in paperwork for surgery! I declined the very small cataract surgery! Foolishly I ordered their new eye scrips into my Chanel frames. They ordered screws for them to help tighten my frames. Weeks later the screws were on " back order" then later told they don't make the screws. Coerced into replacing my Chanel's with their lenses this process took MONTHS. The lenses came back in BLACK tint. In 'fixing' I received rainbow/smudged lenses. The lenses went back several times more. The final visit the tech begged me to take them because my "brain would adjust" for the blurred vision. And "we guarantee all our work....just bring them back for a refund". I fed-x them back the very next day I emailed them of headaches/neck pains & I was sending them back. No response (ever)OTIX does not stand behind any guarantees, produces awful work and has horrible customer service. AlsoI was told I got my insurance carrier discount- DID NOT.OPTX response is full of empty & wordy defense. Praising COVID service & defending employees is BASIC & GENERAL verbiage. OPTX lied a discount was applied & my insurance was billed. Not true. OPTX lied about the screws not available to fix my original frames not to mention the double talk on my existing lenses. I'v RETURNED your useless blurred lenses, horrible fit-fitting Chanel's. Substituting SURGERY for reading glasses & months of producing blurred/black lenses can't be defended in your trite virtue signal weak responce(s). Bad products, bad service and demand my refund.Full disclousure: I have more than one residence
