I’ve always viewed Monro as solid, dependable with fair prices. My new to me car started overheating so I had it towed to my local Munro to get checked out.
After days of phone tag I finally get an estimate which was around $2000+. They gave me options to pay overtime… so I jumped through their hoops, get prequalified, return their call and ask them to move forward.
Wait! They said, it’s more than $2000…
Now it’s $4000!
I declined their service and said I would pick up the car asap. It just overheated and id like a friend to follow me home.
On the 2nd attempt to pick up the car(first time they were too busy to help me) I walk in to an empty building. No one is here!
I walked through the garage yelling hello but no one was around. I then walked around the entire building. Still no one was around.
I saw a young man in his car, on his phone. I waved at him but he ignored me. So I went back to my car and waited.
20 mins later the young guys moving cars around and working but still hasn’t addressed me.
Finally the manager appears at the front counter. Although I just spoke to this man two days ago about picking up my car. He had no idea who I was. So I explained that I was here Again to pick up my car.
Never any eye contact. The guy was acting real suspicious. I’ve been around enough addicts in my profession to spot one.
After an additional hour waiting they said I could move my car to the front after I pay.
Pay?????? All you guys did was a free checkup to see what I needed.
He said we ran a diagnostic… you need a water pump. That’ll be $100!
He hands me a paper that says free inspection
Then diagnostic $100…
I replied, so where’s the read out from the diagnostic that I just paid $100 for?
He could not produce it!
For $100 I should know everything the car needs. A full list of everything and what was done to the car.
The guy manager was distracted, distraught, unprofessional and unorganized.
So I got no read out after spending $110 with tax on a diagnostic that autozone does for free…
Never got an estimate in writing.
Never got a diagnostic read out.
Never again am I returning to Munro.
Sadly, these few bad apples paint Munro as a bunch of incredibly lazy mechanics unwilling to do a job cuz it takes time.

If I could give this place 100 stars, I would! My car was making this loud sound. I took it to my dealership, and the technicians kept my car for a week, only to tell me a rock was stuck behind the wheel. Picked up my car today, about an hour later, my car starts making the same sound, but this time , louder and terrifying. I had no clue how my dealership could miss this !!! I was about to turn on to the highway when I spotted Monro Auto Service and decided I had to stop here. Jay was already outside and asked me “how long has it been making this sound”. I explained what had happened above, and told him that I recently had an oil change and tire rotation. He immediately knew what was wrong and fixed the problem in 20 minutes Jay and his team are incredible! I found my new trusted auto shop ! I was so defeated but I am so grateful for them! You won’t be disappointed.

I was a walk in for a state inspection. Told me, if I could be patient, they could squeeze me in. I was and they did. Everything went smoothly. Very friendly and courteous. Highly recommend.

Went there to get an oil change, picked up my car and the door handle was broken. When I asked about it they called the cops on me. Worst experience ever. So unprofessional.

I had a flat tire, ONE FLAT TIRE. my car was there almost a week. It was brought in on a Saturday and sat there all day because they "couldn't find my key". Then they had to order the tire and it took 2 days to get there. There was "a problem getting the tire delivered". Someone should have went and got the tire. I was told each day I called that I would receive a call back about the status of the car and out of the 4 days I only received one call. The prices at Monro tire are absolutely outrageous and now I know to shop around first because every other place I called, after the fact, was cheaper. Not only would I never bring my car back there but I will make sure everyone I know knows never to go to Monro tire for anything, even as simple as a tire change.

Went in for a tune up on my vehicle, and was quoted the prince of $1652 for A TUNE UP!!! Also one of the technicians cut wires in my engine and tried to charge me for those wires that WERE NOT PREVIOUSLY cut. Also I received a “new battery” from another monto location on December 26 of 2023 and it’s already leaking…. I WILL NEVER GET MY VEHICLE SERVICED WITH YOU ALL EVER AGAIN AND YOU WILL BE HEARING FROM MY LAWYER

My oil change cost $132!! They told me I needed to use synthetic oil otherwise it would ruin my engine. Totally taken advantage of because I'm female. Would not recommend at all.
