Went to look at a Buick, Joe the salesman was VERY helpful, non pushy and nice - we would have bought a car from him. First price comes in at 23K. Manager (Hunter Edgar I think his name was) comes in and says theres a mistake and price gets bumped to 26K. Sales director comes in and says price is 27K if you put 5K down and this deals only for today. Looking at the sales sheet the slimy bugger had ADDED the 5K down to make the total price 32K. This was AFTER we told them multiple times we dont want the 5K service contract, 1K maintenance, and $1500 tire and rim protection. Manager and director got very pissy and arrogant when we said we'd go and think it over. Joe needs to go work with some people who have a better attitude to the customer. They got ONE star just because Joe was GREAT!!!!! They used EVERY tactic in the sales playbook - kept license and trade in keys, made us wait in the comfy chair (over an hour) did the turnover tactic with Manager and Director coming in, STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET FLEECED.Got a GREAT no pressure deal with a VERY nice salesman at Nucar tarbox hyundai in North Kingstown - see my review on that experience. Avoid Hurd and Greico in Johnston like the plague.

Terrible!! From day 1, first I was there for 5hrs. I signed the paperwork on 10/18/23. I have been waiting for a bill from loan company, so I call them and they told me they couldn’t find me in the system, because Hurd hadn’t sent the paperwork to them to be processed until 11/14. Also, been waiting for registration to come in OR get a call regarding this. Nothing! Well my temp registration expires today 11/18/23. Nobody seems to know what is going on there. Supposedly my insurance card said my insurance runs out in the 23, which they had time to register the vehicle, if not could of contacted me for the new card. Nothing. I called there this morning, no call back. I go there, and told there is nothing they can do! Really!! So I can’t drive a car now, yhat i have to pay for til registration arrives?!! Not acceptable!! Everyone is blaming someone else. I was told they couldn’t extend the temporary plate. I dont even want the car anymore.!! Take it back. Been a nightmare!!! Will never go there again!!! No one called me to fix the problem, just left me out to dry. My vehicle id not registered and I can’t drive it!! Really sucks when you think the dealership will do it all for you. NOT! Do not go to Hurd in Johnston on rt 6.!!

Bought a car here 6 months ago. I’ve had nothing but issues with it. It broke down on the way to a work event. I tried to trade in for something more reliable and they wouldnt negotiate any higher than 7k. Car is less than 90k miles. Won’t be coming back here and I’ll make sure others know too.

Awful experience. Asked for a V8 after 6 hours at the dealership tryed to sell me a 4 cylinder. Elmwood dodge took hour and a half total and I got what I wanted. Hurd auto still harasses me with text and phone calls despite telling them im all set and to stop.

I bought a truck here about a year ago now 6 months into have the truck i was driving and the whole entire tire ripped off from the truck , this shitty dealership tried telling me the car was safe after "fixing" it and then 2 months after the other tire went and my fiancé got flung into the woods into a ditch. i will never recommend anyone to ever buy a car from this place they do not care about the safety they only care about the money. they are lucky my finance is not hurt and just missed going head on with a tree. wish i could do a zero star cause they don't even deserve one.

We had one of our trucks serviced at the service department. From start to finish, it was an excellent experience. There was some very minor confusion, but it was handled in the most respectful and transparent way possible by Jean and Abby at the service department. Great people to do business with.

Right from the beginning Gabbie was professional and amazing. She did all the work for me. Fighting back and fourth with the horrendous warranty company I have. She provided me with timely updates. And she took the time to understand my situation and was empathetic with it as well. When I wasn’t happy with the answer she’d received, she went back to the warranty company and let them know. Only once did I have to contact the warranty company because they told her I had to. Which they claimed was false. She did everything she could and went above and beyond even down to trying to make sure I had a VIN check set up. I really do believe she did everything she could. She’s definitely an asset to your team. If it wasn’t for her I have no idea what I would have done. I had just started a new job and really didn’t have the time to fight anyone for this and she took this massive stress off my shoulders. So thank you so much from the bottom of my heart Gabbie. You truly are wonderful!

I received first class service and was very grateful. The technician (Raymond Greene) is a real professional. He was very polite, helpful and on point and he delivered exactly as promised right on time. He immediately diagnosed my car when I first brought it in and told me what the problem was and how long it was going to take to get that fixed and he delivered as promised. The shuttle guy was so friendly nice and polite. Awesome service! BRAVO to all at the service centre!

My experience with Hurd was nothing but amazing. Gabby was an amazing help with my car, she was so helpful with all of my questions and always made sure to ask a technician if she wanted confirmation on anything. My car was done in such a quick turn around time and I am very happy with all of their help! I am very likely to recommend Hurd to anyone who needs their car serviced or is looking to buy a new car!

I purchased a hard to find 23 Colorado ZR2.I drove an hour and a half to this dealership this was the easiest most relaxed transaction at a car dealership that I have experienced there was absolutely no pressure Dennis Anderson my salesman was very informative, helpful and a pleasure to work with along with their finance gentlemen I would recommend anyone who is looking for a vehicle to head to this dealership it's worth the trip FYI just be careful of the police trap getting off the highway LOL Thank you Dennis I appreciate your help

I’ve been looking for a new car for months, but dreaded the whole buying experience since the last time we bought a vehicle we were at the dealership for over 6 hours! My husband and I went to Hurd to look at a specific SUV they had in stock online. Aaron met us in the lot, brought us right over to it and within a few mins we were off for a test drive. Upon returning, we decided to start the “dreaded” process of purchasing the vehicle and boy, were we surprised! Aaron, the sales manager and the finance manager worked on their parts simultaneously and my new suv was ready to drive off the lot in under 2 hours! Every one of them were great to work with; they not only made you feel like you were their most valued customer, but they made you feel that your time was also valuable. The process was quick and easy, but never felt rushed. They answered all of our questions and took the time to show us the bells and whistles of the vehicle before leaving the lot. Aaron even called the next day to make sure all was good! We absolutely recommend Hurd to everyone in the market for a new vehicle and we will definitely be back when we are ready to upgrade again!

Great experience all around. Reese was awesome throughout the experience, and the sales manager Dave worked great with me to get to get me where we needed to be. They were very honest with everything from where the car was in transit, and when it would be in. When it came in, they let me know immediately and had me driving home the same day. The whole process was easy and very quick. I would highly recommend this dealership and I will be back in the future for sure.

This was the best car buying experience. I didn’t feel pressured or hassled. I was able to test drive exactly what I wanted multiple times until I made my decision. Reese was an excellent salesman, he was patient, knowledgeable, it was like shopping with a friend.

Worst customer experience ever. I just bought a used CR-V ($30000) from them, my second major purchase with them, and I discovered I need a new windshield ($2000 more). They refuse to replace it. All the inspections they say they do are bologna and certainly not guaranteed. I would never make a purchase with this group again because if something is wrong, then you're on your own and they could care less about earning future business.I will stear anyone I know looking for a car away from this place.
