I decided to get a quick bite to eat today the the marketplace. Unfortunately, there is an employee there by the name of Carol who seemed to be extremely rude. I was standing at the counter and was greeted by Gianna who is so pleasant! But Carol was using profane language and was not acting as if there were customers in the establishment. I certainly wouldn't want her working for my business, food is great and the other employees are phenomenal...plug your ears when Carol is there though she has a dirty mouth.

Sadly, not what it used to be. I assume new ownership. Service poor, food not as good, prices higher. What a shame...

Have gone here for fresh produce, veg frittata, eggplant calzones, prepared desserts for a few years. Was there this past Monday to pick up some calzones and frittata - hadn't been in a month (this is 30 minutes away so a special drive or part of a trip). NO eggplant calzones - though lots of others and NO veg frittata (or any to speak of). Young woman at restaurant counter needs to either be replaced or taught something about customer service. She did not have a pleasant server attitude, and failed to ask if she could offer an option to the calzones they didn't have. Front end staff are SO important. Bad ones will ensure that your customers don't come back anytime soon. In short, I preferred it when it was 1302, not so much now that it's Schroeders. Why "fix" something that ain't broke??????

Sorry to say I have been going to this place all the way back to 80s when it was Roman Deli. Old owners not there anymore and has since gone downhill. Some of the food looks the same but does not taste the same, prices went up a lot but many of the regular items and meals no longer there. Overall, I will not be going back due to this.

Used to love going here, it has gone downhill over the past few times. This time it was waiting 20 min for spaghetti and meatballs and having to ask 3 times to get. Only to wait as other orders were being filled for a larger party. Once I got to eating it, I found the spaghetti crunchy and old and the sauce. Too bad this place used to be excellent.

Stopped in a few days ago for sandwiches as I currently have a project that I'm working on down the street. I haven't been here in probably 5 years since I moved out of Johnston but I am happy to say nothing has changed. I ordered 3 sandwiches which were made quickly as it wasn't too busy. The price for all 3 was under $20, super reasonable! Once we indulged we were all very satisfied. The meat was of excellent quality and all of the toppings were fresh. I will definitely be back for another sandwich run soon!

The customer service is mediocre here. Two girls behind the cash register were too busy flipping their hair around and putting it in a ponytail than to acknowledge me. Then once they did, they were chatting and still fixing their hair and said they'll be right with me.... seriously? It's often this way. Young staff, not managed. The produce selection is decent and cheap which is why I stop here if I need something on my way home but otherwise the pre-made dishes aren't anything special compared to some of the other great prepared food around town. The deli is just okay.

This deli is fantastic. One half of the store they make great handmade subs, calzones, and prepared favorites. The other side of the store is a mini-marketplace. The prices are fantastic and so are the portions. I usually get a chicken cutlet (hand-breaded and trimmed) sub on a soft 6in roll. For $4.99, how can you go wrong? You'd be foolish not to check them out.

They have good sandwiches and good calzones. But today i tried what a sign on their door says N.Y System Weiners. The meatsauce was the most horrible thing ive ever eaten it was 10 shades lighter in color and no flavor at all ( i think its turkey hamburg). They microwave the hotdogs and the onions were fully raw not steamed like N.Y. System. DO NOT WASTE THE .99 cents its not worth it. I took a single bite and spit it all out and threw the other one in the garbage. I give my dog alot of stuff but i didnt want her to get sick so i didnt dare bring it home to her
