I'm a big dollar general fan, and this store didn't disappoint. Staff were friendly and helpful. The store is clean, organized, and well stocked. I was surprised by the number of product categories I'd not seen before. There is plenty of parking and easy access. Although be careful coming out onto rt6, it's a little tough to see.

Stopped at this Dollar General to get some snacks for a gathering. They had a good selection of name brand chips. I have tried many private label chips and most of them do not compare to the national name brands like the Frito Lay brands. I love Doritos, Cheetos and the Lightly salted Wavy Potato Chip Lay's.Knowing your unit price is key when buying chips and snacks...many times you see bags of 8oz for $4-5 each...which makes the pound of snacks to be valued over $8-10 a pound...more than some cuts of steak or salmon....The store was clean and the lady at the checkout counter was friendly.

Never coming here during the day again, that's for sure. I'm here multiple nights a week. I spend hundres of dollars at various Dollar Generals per month. This locations day shift employees are super rude. I definitely enjoyed being spoken to like I was stupid.

Just visited the Dollar General On Hartford Ave in Johnston, The Air Conditioner is blasting on this cold, damp Day, I had to leave!!! Diane the cashier is always wonderful, feel so bad she has to work in freezing conditions. DG CORPORATE SHOULD HAVE THE HEAT ON!!!!!

Love dollar general for cleaning products. However, I grabbed some fall candles while waiting for my Yankee candle order to come in mail and the jars cracked. The sides fell out and wax spilled everywhere. On 3 candles!!!! Please just don't buy candles from dollar general. Spend the extra money. Everything else is fine

The older shorter "manager" woman with the dark hair is exceptionally rude and refuses to allow costumers to engage with dollar general offered services. Very disheveled employee.
