This is what living in a small town is all about. I was panicking right before Christmas, package of gifts I'd ordered hadn't shown up. I called Jamestown Outdoors and the owner said she would swing by to open store and help me out on her way to buy groceries for her family holiday dinner.She went above and beyond to help me out and this is why I will purchase from them1st, instead of ordering online, whenever I need a gift for family, friends, or me!

Beth and Jason are amazing. They are really friendly and welcoming, and they got my group of friends set up quickly with paddle boards and kayaks. They explained just enough to give us confidence and ensure safety, then sent us on our way for a fabulous morning on the water.

From a local Rhode Islander, this has been something I have been wanting to do for quite a while but never got around to until this last weekend. We booked on a whim at 12:30 for a 3 pm tandem rental and it did not disappoint. Parking was beyond easy which I was not expecting given the area. The owners were so friendly - they offered lots of tips, a great suggested route, and were overall just very friendly. You could tell they were passionate about what they do. Given the owner’s friendliness and ability to build rapport with customers, we definitely be back for many more kayaking trips.

Jamestown Outdoors is the perfect place to go for your next adventure. The owners and staff are so welcoming and friendly. We had an amazing 2hrs of paddling around Jamestown’s coast, from the house on the rocks to east ferry beach. Absolutely wonderful experience!

We had an amazing time on our tandem kayak that we rented! It was our son’s first kayaking trip (3 yo).The owners were very accommodating and offered great tips on how to make it an enjoyable experience for our son. We will definitely be back :)

From the first phone call to our final thank you it was all a fantastic experience. My daughter and I wanted to try stand up paddle boarding and we found the perfect place and people to do it with. Great instruction, top notch equipment and a fun day on the water. Thank you again!!

Jamestown Outdoors was a highlight of our vacation. We rented 3 kayaks at a very reasonable price for 2 hours. We booked online the same day but arrived earlier than expected. I spoke with the owners when we arrived and they were able to get us going earlier than we had booked. Beth was so nice and really helpful.Overall this was a great experience; the Jamestown harbor offers great views of the Newport Bridge and the suggested route was perfect. I highly recommend Jamestown Outdoors, and be sure to visit their store just up the street. Great people and a fun day so I highly recommend it!

We had a great kayaking experience with Jamestown Outdoors! Beth was very accommodating of our large group and great to communicate with. They helped us with some local recommendations for lunch afterwards as well. Highly recommend booking a trip with them!

Such a fun time! We rented two tandem kayaks and one of the riders was a young child so the staff gave them a half of a paddle to use (which they absolutely loved). We all had such a fun time exploring the waters around Jamestown. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We go to Newport a lot to visit and this was our first time trying something outside of Newport and I’m so glad we did! I highly recommend!

We had the best time!!! They were quick, thorough and safe. Very accommodating. During our outing on kayaks and paddle boards, there's a little beach to park and swim at with beautiful clear water. Unlike Mobile Kayaks, they will come through!
