Great location near south end of west passage, for cruisers destined up the bay, or down and out. Quiet and protected moorings. Beautiful views and sunsets. Clear water for swimming. New restrooms, shower rooms, and laundry facility. Short walk to Jamestown village shops and restaurants. Reliable launch service. Beware; no public dinghy dock for more than a very brief period. This review does not reflect the new owners. They may be great, but we don't have experience with them.

My C & C engine was coughing and sputtering. We left Point Judith unable to get assistance. Thought with the new carburetor we were all set. Sailed into TPG Dutch Harbor engine failed Molly was on launch duties and helped us get to a mooring. Molly was extremely pleasant and helpful. We learned later that she is a graduate with an engineering degree. It's a new boat and everything was serviced, still things happen. Now to dort things out. Thanks Molly you will go far!

Great to see the Scuttlebut open. Steve graciously took care of us. Would be great if they could stay open later though. Such a nice place looking forward to more food options as well.

First the good news....this is a beautiful and generally well protected harbor. The bad news is that you need to know that you can't bring your dinghy to Dutch Harbor Boat Yard's dock. Something that wasn't explained ahead of time. There is a town dinghy dock next door that has a 30 minute limit and is generally inhabited by dozens of teenagers behaving like.......teenagers, need I say more? After some "discussion" with the management of Dutch Harbor Boat Yard, they agreed to let us tie up our dinghy. Don't count on that happening especially when it get busy. They do have what appears to be a fairly efficient launch service, if that works for you. We stayed there based on the recommendations of two other boaters based on their experiences with the previous owners. If you're looking for white sandy beaches on Jamestown forget it, they only have one and it's for town residents only. It wasn't a terrible experience but it wasn't Block Island either. Next time we'll spend the extra money for fuel and go back to Block Island.

I’ve moored here before, prior to TPG taking over the facility. I was of course concerned what effect a big corporate owner would have on the facility, but I’m happy to report its a very well-run marina and good value for money.
