I received a call from their staff asking if we had “any puppies left” (Our female Shih-Tzu had recently had a litter) When I informed her that we did not and that they had all been re-homed, she went on to inform me that “we do not support backyard breeders and your dogs are not welcome here, we don’t support people who make money off of animals!” Evidently, they groom animals for free? That must be a new policy as they have charged us in the past. At any rate, just another example of “tolerant proclaiming people not following their own beliefs”.

A big thank you to Village Paws for the care they gave my little Stevie. She had lots of mats I was unable to get out. They listened to what I wanted for my kitty even though I was truly worried and definitely acting like a crazy cat Mom. She is home and happy. Their Cat Only Sunday makes it so much better for the kitties! Nancy S.

1. The place is dirty and disgusting. 2. They don't communicate with their customers if they are not going to meet the pickup time that they set. 3. They did not complete the services they were paid for (never trimmed nails as agreed upon) 4. They lied to me about the conversation they had with my wife. When I became irate because of the way they were treating us, they called my wife and insulted me. 5. Christine initially told me that they had to bathe my dog twice because she "sat in pee". She later claimed that the dog only stood in pee. 6. I refused to pay because they wasted our time by making us make multiple trips to pick up. I had to leave work because they could not meet their deadline and my wife had to pick up our kids. 7. Christine held my dog hostage until I paid them. Jules called the police. I pretty much had no choice but to pay them for this horrible experience. Now I've had another groomer look at my dog and says that they gave her clipper-burn, and I had to use Zymox to give the dog a proper bath because they caused a lot of skin irritation. Do not go to these horrible people. They dont care about the dogs or their customers.

I have an elderly cat who is having trouble grooming herself, lately she won't clean her private parts at all causing a smelly odor. The vet said she is healthy and most likely just having some arthritis issues preventing her to groom properly. I decided to call Village Paws to get her groomed. I dropped her off at 10am, and they told me she would be all set around 1pm. They asked to see her rabies vaccination, and asked me a few questions. Then the lady even pet her and said hi which I thought was sweet. She wasn't just in a rush it genuinely seemed like she cared. I was a little nervous leaving her but when I came back to get her they said she did great. I'm assuming it's because of their knowledge and skills. It can't be that easy to groom a cat. She smells, looks, and feels great! They even shaved some fur around her private area to prevent any build up again then applied a new seresto collar I bought for her. I will definitely be taking Misty back here to be groomed. They were nice, attentive, friendly, and the price was very reasonable even with a tip. The place is cute and clean.

Took my Rottweiler linkie bear today to get a wash and proper grooming and I must say I am extremely satisfied with the care and service I received today .I will be taking my dog there every month so now my dog has a great groomer. Service 5 ⭐ dog handling 5 ⭐ .they went on and beyond with my pets needs and care .if you need a fantastic groomers call them you will thank me later .

The most kind and compassionate groomers I have ever been to!!! They took care of my two dogs like they were their own. Village Paw has also always answered all of my questions very patiently and with kindness! 10/10 would come again ☺️ ?

I stopped in to Village Paws in Smithfield this morning desperate to get my puppy's nails trimmed with the grinder. I didn't have an appointment and a sign on the door indicated that they were no longer able to handle walk-ins, but I called and they told me to come right in anyway. I had previously been to several groomers who were unable to grind my puppy's nails due to her nervousness. The groomers at Village Paws took their time with her and kept reassuring her which calmed her down and they were able to get it done. I can't thank them enough for their kindness and willingness to stop what they were doing to help me. I highly recommend Village Paws to anyone looking for compassionate and caring groomers. They have a wonderful staff and I know they are the only ones I will call for grooming services in the future. They truly made my day!!

Disgusting place. My father brought his three dogs here. Lady was so miserable at first and wasn’t happy that she actually had to work. But he went ahead a left them there to get groomed because they were reasonably priced. Upon picking them up, my dad noticed a big gash on the side of his 4lb maltipom. She insisted it was nothing, still pay full price, and put some glue over it.How do you trust a business with your own animals and they end up hurting them??? And still demanded full price???Place is a joke!Don’t go here unless you want your pups abused!

Jules did a great job with my new rescue Bandit, it was his first grooming since I adopted him so wasn't sure how it would go. She said he did fine and he looks soo handsome!

Absolutely amazing groomer! I took my long haired cat there today during cats only time and had a great experience! We've had trouble finding a groomer who would accommodate Stevie since she's tiny and very skittish, so we're so so happy to have found such competent and friendly groomers! Stevie has mats in her long fur and they're especially bad around her backside, they took care of all of them and did an amazing job brushing through her super thick coat! I was also allowed to stay which I can't thank them enough for- Stevie is so skittish it meant a lot to me to be able to stay with her and keep her calm. 10/10 definitely recommend taking your cat here! Super friendly, know what they're doing and clearly care deeply about the animals they work with! Thank you so so much!
