Total luck here: I was having breakfast at a local diner when a woman walked in with vibrant, red hair. Actually, the exact vibrant red I used to get for years. I immedietly asked where she got it done and responded, "Tryst". I was so disappointed, since I've been on the search for a new place. But, she informed me she sees Loris, her pricing and that she was accepting new clients! She passed me along the contact info and we talked the very next day! We spoke of her client I ran into and how I would love her exact color. Great! Show up the day of my appt and was seated right away. She worked quickly but, clean. I've never had a color done without having the tips of my ears and hairline tinted red. She got it perfect. Finished coloring my hair and asked if I want it styled. I asked how much and "it's included!" (Hmm, Pam didn't style my hair). When Loris was done, I looked like an effin super model! Eye catching red and slight curls to give my long, baby fine hair gorgeous volume. I felt beautiful. Then I found out the price. After 20+ yrs of coloring my hair, I understand hair stylists need to charge different prices to pay for their chair/spot. But, Pam ripped me off. I made sure to tell Loris this. I just paid half the price of my previous visit to get a brighter color, cleaner job, gorgeous style and done in half the time. Apparently, Pam is the owner. Which to me, is very sad. I hope she reads these reviews so she is aware her gouging people for money is wrong, very bad for business and should stop immediately. BUT, the update to 5 stars is for Loris. Loris is amazing and I recommend her to anyone. You will leave happy and feeling great. (She also massages your scalp while washing your hair) Love you Loris!

Best place around! I looked for 5 years to find a salon that I liked..I went through bad experience after bad experience... My first time coming here I knew I found my place!! I'll never go anywhere else ever again!!!

I had a horrible experience today at Tryst Salon with the owner Pam Walker. I had been there twice before, the first time was ok .The second time was not so good she turned my hair brassy orange in some spots and I waited long periods of time for her to finish my hair as she was doing two other people and me at the same time. I felt like I should never go back but I did at it was worse this time. She fumbled around with my hair and it came out worse than when I went in. Then she pretended to cut my hair , took two snips and was going to charge me for a hair cut, there was no hair on the floor. I had to have her refoil my hair to correct her mistake and she left me sitting there. I had to leave with the foils in my hair and she charged me for a horrible job 75$. Pam is vindictive and malicious. I guess she has a temper. Just another bad Rhode Island hair joint.
