Stopped there tonight, Sunday, at about 9:30. Needed a wrench to tighten a front brake caliper that had come loose. Was either that… or call AAA. The man working there and his friend helped me out by providing the tool I needed and wouldn’t even entertain the thought of receiving a gratuity. ?Very good experience.

UPS has a lazy driver who delivers in the morning. Instead of ringing the doorbell, he will divert packages to this gas station. Today I went to retrieve a package and the weather-beaten wrinkled old man, rightfully asked for my ID and then asked if I still lived at that address. Mind you, I had just retrieved a package there earlier this month. I found the question very odd and a little offensive, being that I don't bounce around from place to place. The package wasn't there and afterwards he stated, "Well, if it comes here next time, it will be refused. We're not working with them anymore." Curiously, I asked him, "Isn't it illegal to move and not change the address on your license?" He answers, "Why did you move and not changed it?" It's as if he's FILLED with preconceptions about people who simply going to that filthy, ratty gas station on the worse side of town to retrieve their packages. If Amazon continues to use UPS and they continue to divert packages there, I will stop buying from Amazon.
