Overall I love this Shaws but the deli is always understaffed. There is always one person working and at least one or two people in the background cleaning while customers wait way longer than needed. Many times I have walked away and not purchased what I wanted because the wait was too long.

It was great getting to know customers while I was working there starting in March. I was a cashier up front with a lot of morning shift hours picking up shifts here and there. Then I got moved to produce where I was guaranteed 25-30 hours. I was part time but they claimed I can have up to 40 hours. Never once did I go over 25 hours. My position in produce was working in a freezer all day cutting fruits and vegetables. Making ready meals as well. My hours slowly started to decrease. So I asked about why they were lowered. There excuse was we are cutting hours yet your hiring right now. Eventually I got down to 14 hours and that’s when I realized I don’t wanna work for a company like Shaws. This location I will never be going to again. I can’t live off of 14 hours only making 14 an hr. No one really can in the way we living now. I get 14 an hr for doing register and cashier but 14 an hr to stand in a freezer all day cutting fruits that make you have hives all over ur wrists isn’t worth it. Not to me.

Love this little store, always clean always stocked. Prices are within range as other markets not of their fault but fault of "BIDEN-omics" and leaving it at that as far as that goes, however needing to recognize an employee "Carson" for his extended time consuming efforts to retrieve a cash receipt from a previous night so that an exchange could be made on 2 beany babies for our grandsons. Even tho it wasnt a food item he still should be recognized for his professionalism and especially for calling me back to say he would leave it at the desk and let all the other employees know for my return when i was able. 100% communication from start to finish so THANK YOU CARSON!?my grandsons also thank you!

I went there and saw that there were chips on sale for 2 for $5 and rice cakes 2 for $3. After bringing it to the self checkout it rung up as the original price and didn’t give us the discount. The staff there was nice enough to fix it for us. But overall the store is a little overpriced.

Way too small for the area, terrible selection of produce. Overpriced. Outdated. Promote sales that aren't even in stock. No Easter hams all easter weekend. Store is an absolute JOKE. This town has had it’s population reach an all time high, and we can’t even stock this mart properly.

Overpriced. Cramped design. Lack of cashiers. Small selections, meats and produce especially. A few years ago I was over charged here from the displayed prices on items at FOUR consecutive visits. Hope that store shutters soon, East Bay needs a certain Market with a Basket if you get my drift.

I honestly hate this location . Every-time i do the online ordering everything is out of stock and they say its because they ran out of time and just marked it as out of stock . I don't have time to go food shopping during the week and i do delivery because it helps but now i have to go food shopping . They gave me expired bread . I feel as tho they don't care about the online ordering .

I can’t say enough about the customer service at this store. Keith in customer service is amazing just a really genuinely nice guy and super professional, he went above and beyond any customer service I have received in any supermarket, or store for that matter with our online order today. I hope these reviews are read by corporate because Keith is someone that should be recognized for the outstanding job he does as since Covid due to short staffing, and overworked employees professional customer service is almost forgotten today everywhere you go. I have always been happy with the Willette Ave. Riverside store, however Keith just showed me exceptional customer service does still exist. Thank you again for all your help.Sincerely, D. Dalton

I’ve honestly had it with this location and their online ordering. My days are 12 hours long so I do this to better help myself and be more efficient with my time. Every single time I pick up an order there’s something “ out of stock” and supposedly so is the alternative I provided. But I’ve purposely gone inside the store after getting my order and found the “out of stock” item they claim is not available in SURPLUS. Like HOW? And If I do this through the Shaws location in Fall River because I work in that city, they actively call me as they are shopping to let me know “hey we don’t have this or the alternative. Is there something else?” It’s SMART customer service they have that this place doesn’t. I literally go to Shaws almost every week but if I’m shopping in riverside, I’ll no longer go here. It’s just frustrating. Especially when no one answers the phone for me to address the issue. Yes I can obviously go inside and do my own shopping. I know someone with say that. But if this option is available and it’s keeping people PAID and EMPLOYED why wouldn’t you want to excel in it? We already have self check out taking away jobs. Cmon.
