Try to open a business account. There's a thin line between clueless and not knowing your job. She asked me to call Secretary of State for an Naics code which is obviously not needed for new business and not provided until the first Annual. She then tells me if I open an account it will be closed.. I told her thats false, mind you I already have 3 business bank acct else where with no issues! She then later calls back next day basically proving she wrong & wants to now open my account.

After waiting 20 mins in line they tell me they can’t cash their own check. A Santander check for less than $500 because I don’t have an account with them. Just charge a fee like the other banks do. Waste of time.

I've been assisting my elderly mother with her paperwork and banking and needed some questions answered. I was able to get all the help I needed and then some from John Alden at the Rumford branch of Santander on Newport Avenue. Not only did I get the answers, John completed the needed paperwork for me directly. Mom was thrilled, I was thrilled and simultaneously saved likely hours of time no one has to spend these days. Thanks, John! 5 for 5 in my book!

I give them 1 star because the last time I did go there the teller was very rude she make my deposit wrong I told her it’s was wrong she keep saying she was right lady if you can’t do maths you shouldn’t be working in bank

I have had Santander Bank for approximately 6 years. During this past year the customer service has been awful (unless you go to a Branch, they are wonderful!) However, I asked an incorrect charge for a merchant, to be temporarily reposted to my account and investigated. Santander never temporarily deposited the money, and even sent me a letter that the merchant was correct, when they were NOT. It took me almost a month to resolve this issue without Santanders help. The company finally made the correction and deposited the money in my account.Another situation.....I deposited a business check into my account and cash to cover a check for registration fees for the DMV. Not only did they return the check (because they said, the BUSINESS check had not cleared, but they returned the check to the DMV!!!! I elected for no checks to ever be returned when I opened the account. To top it all, they took charged my account for insufficient fees????? I can go on, but why bother!!! What is going on with your customer service outside of the Bank Branches!!!!!

Went to get help with my app, no wait time, staff was very friendly and helpful. They fixed the problem in no time at all, was in and out. Started going to Santander bank because I got a offer in the mail, open a account, have direct deposit over one thousand dollars in ninety days and get a three hundred dollar bonus, which I got, was not a scam no small print exceptions! Very happy with banking there I highly recommend it!
