Emily did what I wanted on my wedding dress. She is a bit busy and I wasn't sure if it be done on time for my wedding. The only thing I wasn't sure of is if there was a better way to put on lace than hand stiching it. I'm so afraid it's going to just come off. Other than that I absolutely love the way it came out..

I went to this seamstress for my bridal gown. Emily the owner of the shop is extremely unprofessional. After my first fitting, emily got into an argument with me when i asked for a quote. she was very rude saying "what are other places charging you, i know i have the best price" and was pretty much offended i asked for a price. i had to drag an answer out of her and she said its never been 1,000 for a bride.
My mother came in with her dress as well and was not set on her services after some comments. when my mom was leaving emily was upset she was taking her dress home and said "youre wasting an hour of my girls time, they get paid 25$ an hour"
She books appts but does not keep track, then there are multiple people in there at the same time and she's trying to work on three people at once. she answers the phone all throughout our appts leaving me standing there waiting around.
On the other hand, when I have called, Emily continues to speak to the person in front of her while having me wait on the phone for extended amounts of time. also i called one morning when they were open and emily told me she was at the eye doctors. then she starts telling me how she never takes time for herself and her cataracts are getting worse... she complained to me that she never takes a vacation for herself.
emily does not keep track of each customer, as she asked me every time when my wedding was, if i've tried my dress on with the bustle, what time i was coming in, and she always requests that YOU follow up with her. every time i would follow up, they didn't start what we went over last time, the straps, hem, bustle. youre calling to remind her to start pretty much.
they made me get straps from Alexandra's, where i purchased my dress, because they said they couldnt make them from the extra fabric from the hem. that didnt make any sense since that is a very common practice. the straps weren't done correctly the first time even though i was very clear how i wanted them sewn in. they had to redo them. the hem and bustle came out good. although there were stains on my dress from her dirty floor.
All in all, the price for straps, a horsehair fabric hem (multiple layers) and a bustle was $625. I gave them 1 star because the actual tailoring came out good, but dealing with Emily's terrible customer service and condescending attitude made it a dreadful experience. never again!

I was fooled by the nice reviews.
I took my wedding dress and a bridesmaids dress to Emily.
Emily is extremely rude and defensive for no reason. Emily will talk badly about customers infront of you. If you think she won’t do it to you once you leave or hang up the phone with her you are wrong. Emily called me and expected me to be able to come in with no prior notice or appointment. I said it’s too short of notice (she was not happy about that) but let’s set up a time for me to come in. After we picked a time, I asked pretty standard simple questions you would ask about a wedding dress fitting for example when should my maid of honor come, how many fittings will there be etc. (Side-note I had already been to two fittings with Emily one in which she had reached in my dress to pull my sticky bra off infront of a male customer and then after I made a face of shock Emily noticed and took me in one of her fitting rooms). The whole time I was asking these questions Emily was defensive, rude, and unprofessional. The conversation ended and Emily thought she hung up the phone and bad mouthed me pretty harshly for five minutes to everyone in her store saying that I was a problem, controlling etc.
I called back for my prices so I could be prepared with cash as she does not except credit cards. Emily gave me numbers and told me the work that had been done so I got the cash and headed to go pick up my dresses as I no longer felt comfortable working with her. (Emily didn’t know I was planning on picking them up after this phone call) when I asked for my totals she told me to just come in and pick them up in a very defensive rude way.
My fiance and I went in and I told Emily I am here to pick up my dresses, to which she was confused and wanted to see if I wanted to try them on. I responded with no I heard what you said about me over the phone, and I no longer feel comfortable working with you I’d like to pay for the work that was done and part ways.
Emily now is telling me the numbers she gave me 20 minutes ago are not accurate and more work had been done than she stated over the phone. Emily lies and cannot keep her lies straight. Emily told me I called her and intimidated her to which I responded with, what actually happened which is that Emily had called me. I asked Emily to please tell me how I intimidated her as I am not an intimidating person. I asked Emily, how is asking when my maid of honor should come in with me to learn how to help me with the dress intimidating ? Emily said it wasn’t. So then I asked Emily what did I do that was intimating? Emily had no response.
Emily told me I could not have my dress and that I needed to get a lawyer.
I told her to give me the total we will pay it and I want to part ways. Emily couldn’t give me a number so I gave her the number she gave me over the phone 20 minutes ago. Emily said we will call it even and gave me my dresses and told me she was doing me a favor.
Do not be fooled by the, “ I want to make you happy baby” or any or her “sweet talk”Emily is not a genuine person and will tell you baby this and baby that then call you a problem to her staff behind your back.

I would give 0 stars if I could… BEWARE!! Very rude, extremely unprofessional. I don’t usually make bad reviews but this place is not the place to go to. It is never a calming aura in there. She takes on more work than she can handle and makes it seem like your fault. The whole point of dress fitting is to get it to fit to my body…. Instead she shames you for your body and says it’s “soooo difficult” to do and that nobody can ever do as good of a job as she could. After several try on appointments where they could just not get it right, and after so many rude comments, we decided to go somewhere else. She warned me nobody would be able to get the job done in short notice… an hour later I was at another seamstress who knew EXACTLY what to do. What a relief to get away from that place…. not a professional setting at all and will “sweetie, beautiful, and baby” you to death to distract you from the chaotic mess that’s actually going on. Clothes are also thrown everywhere and not quite handled with the best care… she also lost my original slip with my deposit on it…

Emily and her team literally saved my wedding by fixing my dress the day before my wedding. Another seamstress had been working on my dress for months and waited until the week of my wedding to have it "done" but when I tried it on it still didn't fit, as it was a strapless and heavy dress I was repeatedly assured I could get to fit despite being bustier. The original seamstress said there was nothing more she could do. I was devastated when it didn't fit and spent the days before my wedding going to every seamstress I could find and nobody could help. The day before our rehearsal dinner, my sister found Emily online and we drove over an hour to see if she could help. She and her team had to take apart the whole dress to make the waist tighter and take in the bust, and they did this all overnight with one seamstress out sick and had the dress to me before my rehearsal. It looked amazing. Emily was incredible and charged me way less than I had expected to pay, given how incredibly last minute it was. I cannot recommend them enough, especially for any brides out there who are desperate like I was! Thank you Emily!!!!
